“Pizza”
Reviewed 8 February 2014 via mobile

I had pizza there it was ok and taste was good and service was good also. The problem came the next morning in the form of diarrhea and vomiting. It's funny because no one else had it try it at your own risk.

“Beautiful Ambiance for great dining experience”
Reviewed 20 June 2013

There are many wonderful pizzerias in this area of Italy. I would not visit Mediterraneo just to order the pizza. It is just so much more than a pizzeria! The dishes are based on the available fresh seafood they get each day. So think of it as a Mediterranean restaurant that serves some pizza.

My experience: Our friends recently moved to Brugnera. They visited Mediterraneo and loved every dish they ordered. So we decided to join them one night with some more friends. As a group we dined outside on the patio. It is beautiful with rod iron tree branches holding up the canvas roof. We had a great server! She embraced our request for dinner suggestions and put together an amazing three to four course meal. We started with their pizza type appetizer. It was delicious. She then brought us their steamed mussels. I always liked mussels and would order them frequently in restaurants. Little did I know how mussels were suppose to take. Mediterraneo's mussels are perfect! Just perfect! I'm anxious to go back to have a whole order all to myself!. Next she brought out their ribs. A few people in our group raved about the ribs but for me they weren't the best. Then we had the cuttlefish special accompanied by fried shrimp and veggies. Although we were very full by the time the last dish arrived we all had a small plate and thought it was great. We will be frequent visitors to this restaurant! I definitely suggest giving Mediterraneo a try. It is a nice break from traditional pasta and pizza that is plentiful in this area.

“Service awful and slow”
Reviewed 9 February 2013

Nice place however 90 minutes for a fair pizza is not worth it. It took forever to even get a waitress to even bring us menus. Half an hour to get a drink, the another hour past that before the pizza arrived. We were given warm plates at 40 min, which got our hopes up but they were stone cold by the time the food arrived. Save yourself, the trouble many other places who do a good job and are appreciative of the business.

“Beautiful treat”
Reviewed 9 November 2010

This restaurant is located in Tamai di Brugnera (near Pordenone), about 5 minutes from my house. MrReaves and I passed this place several times before deciding to go there one evening during the week to eat.

We arrived at the somewhat early hour of 2000 during a monsoon to be asked if we had reservations. Nope, we did not since it's a weekday and most normal people are at home, cozy and dry. We looked around and the place was packed with diners.

Here's the breakdown:
The food was fantastic!! A variety of tasty breads was brought to the table before the meal, and the wine that was recommended by our waitress was perfect. Our main courses were wonderful, but the portions were minuscule. We felt that we should have gotten a bit more for what we paid. Our service was pretty great. We had just arrived in country, so our Italiano was severely lacking, but our waitress was patient and kind. We've lived in Europe for a while and slow service is old hat for us, but we didn't find it here.

Someone took a lot of time and effort to decorate the inside of this restaurant. Pay attention to the ceiling and the bar as well as the wrought iron railings and window coverings. We'll probably go again for special occasions, but we'll make reservations first.
