Description: The Fox Inn is a traditional village pub set in the small village of Ryton, overlooking the Stretton Hills.We use local and fresh produce to achieve a high standard of quality and presentation.All our meat is British and GM free, fresh fish comes from Birmingham fish market. we are happy to cater for special dietary requirements. Family Birthday

14 of us had Sunday lunch at the Fox and everything was perfect full vegan menu and children portions , I had the mixed roast with beef and pork and can honestly say it was the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had . Everyone was really impressed with not only the food but the choice of background music suited are party, the service was just right and catered for all our needs , thank you so much we will be back soon

Lovely friendly country pub

This is a very nice pub. The landlord and his staff are very friendly. The menu is not extensive, but is well presented and cooked.

A gem in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere.

Staying at Langley Gate House the Fox was suggested for an evening meal. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation. Very good menu which suited our party which had one vegie, and we all had different items and everyone said how good they were. Despite large portions all the plates went back empty! Service was excellent, making sure we all were happy without being intrusive.

A Great Pub Lunch

We visited this pub for the first time on a Saturday lunchtime. The pub was pretty quiet, but we were given a warm welcome. We had a variety of main courses, the food was tasty and the chips were lovely homemade chips. Portions are very generous, but we were greedy and also had desert. The deserts are lovely, particularly the ice cream sundaes. A great country pub.

Life In The Slow Lane!

Staying with friends at Ryton during the excellent Shrewsbury Folk Festival we took an evening stroll down the lanes near Dorrington to The Fox Inn. We’d been told it was a locals’ pub (whatever that means) but we had a warm welcome from the bar staff & “mine host” as well as some of the aforementioned locals. The menu was extensive although ironically, as the four of us fancied some comfort food in the shape of fish & chips, there was only two cod left on the menu so two of our party had the scampi. The food was delicious, especially the mushy peas (if you’re a fan!), and the service was prompt & friendly. Well worth a visit!
