Staying here for soccer tournament. Very dated facility. Rooms are small and fairly disgusting. Carpet in room is thin and sticky. Bathroom is poorly cleaned, small, and pretty gross. Toilet as not been scrubbed in long time. Human excrement remains near rim and under seat. Tub chipped. One electrical outlet works only if wiggled. Dark rooms with poor lighting. Pool area is actually ok; dated but ok. Breakfast buffet not bad, except the eggs were pretty in edible.

Positives: staff is friendly. Shower head is decent and has water pressure. That's about all that's good about this place.

Room Tip: Avoid Rooms near holidome area; kids yelling until 11:30 pm.

We visit this Holidome once or twice a year. It's definitely nostalgic. The hotel is a combination of the original decor and some attempts to modernize.
The front desk screwed up our original reservation (we were supposed to have a room across from our the family we were traveling with--had to persuade check-in staff to honor the promise). Part of this was due to the fact that their "non-smoking rooms" of this type were sold out. For a family-oriented hotel in 2013, it is tough to believe that they still offer smoking rooms as an option. Maybe going smoke-free would free up more rooms? Also, we didn't feel as if being in their rewards club was anything special. At most Holiday Inns, there is something special when you check in--or an upgrade for the concierge lounge--here, not even a mention that we were members.
The pool area is great for our family. Again, some of the features are looking a bit worn. There is definitely a need for some dusting (light fixtures) and fixing the huge hole in the one vent. Sauna could also use some TLC...debris on the floor and a large gap underneath the door kept the sauna cooler than it ought to be.
Paid more this time than we normally do. Because no other "non-smoking" rooms were available, we paid about $40 extra for a Holidome room that was quite far from the pool.
The restaurant is always a good option for breakfast with kids--kids eat free.

Room Tip: They really jack up the prices for "Poolside" rooms, which may or may not be next to the p...

Thank you for your post of 4/21. I am grateful for your candor and will share with our entire team. We'll make the needed corrections immediately. We are converting all but about 13 rooms to non-smoking. We feel very positive about this change too! We do have a welcome bag we give to our Priority Club guests at check in. I am sorry we missed your family. It's something that our weekend guests really enjoy. If you'd be so kind as to email me at brenda_fey@hifq.com with your Priority Club number, name and date of stay, I will make sure we have your information on file and make a remedy for you. Thanks so much. I look forward to hearng from you and again, we all truly appreciate your feedback. It helps! sincerely, Brenda Fey, GM

Rooms are very small - ours was in center of building with no window - and it has been a long time since fresh air was in room. Bathroom extremely small.
Young adults played games outside our door until late and workers doing work at 6 a.m. No fridge or microwave. Old and musty smell.
We had a lovely meal in the restaurant with pleasant wait staff.

It was my 57th birthday so my husband I and decided to take our children and grandchildren to Holiday Inn Perrysburg French Quarter to celebrate as a family with an overnight stay. Front desk was friendly and professional and very helpful with any questions. Our rooms were a short walk to the family pool (Holidome area). As an over-worrisome grandmother I was happy our room was not near the pool. Everyone had a great time, we made sure to bring a roll of quarters for each grandchild to enjoy in the game room. We enjoyed the best pizza and chicken chunks delivered to our room from the Ralphie's Sports Eatery located next door to the hotel. That was a real plus since the kids did not want to leave the pool and it was cold out so no one had to dry off and bundle up. Following morning we enjoyed (and over-ate) at the Holiday Inn's Fabulous Sunday Brunch. With 11 people aged 18-months to 62 years old, there was something on the buffet to please each and everyone of us. We will be back as this was the perfect February birthday get-a-way. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a fun and memorable family experience.

We were looking for a hotel in the Toledo area near the zoo and other activities that would also have a pool and activities for the kids. The Holidome portion of the hotel definitely kept the kids happy. The pool was a decent size and had a 4-way basketball hoop/water fountain in the middle with plenty of balls to share. There were also ping pong tables (free), a foosball table (free), and pool tables (for a fee).

The hotel itself has a neat, French quarter theme and my sons thought the different little details were "fancy". Through a child's eyes, it could be rather unique.

Otherwise, the actual room portion of the hotel was disappointing. We got a cheaper rate for a "standard room" by calling the hotel directly rather than booking on-line. The room itself was pretty bare bones. The 2 beds we had were incredibly small and even my two sons (8 and 10) talked about how they woke up laying on top of each other a couple of times throughout the night. The beds were like rocks, the pillows were plentiful but tiny and the bedding was thin. We had four people in the room and only 3 towel sets. If we didn't spend most of our time at the pool, we would have been really disappointed.

We were there during spring break and the pool area was packed and they ran out of towels a couple of times, but they did have someone actually monitoring the pool area to try and stay on top of things like that.

It was probably worth the $100 that we paid, but had it been much more, my rating probably would have been lower.

We have family in Toledo, and meet for holidays at the restaurant at this Holiday Inn Hotel. The buffet is beautifully presented, frequently refreshed, and there is always something for everyone - including small children and picky eaters. The quality of the food is consistently excellent, and the price is reasonable considering how good the spread is. Our server was attentive, and anticipated our needs. Nice job, again!!

We use to love this hotel until our last stay. We stayed on a Monday night and had a fabulous time. So good in fact we decided to come stay the wkend. The service desk didnt bother to inform us that our room were outside. We didnt pack robes because we didnt even know there was outside rooms. If he would have informed us of this on arrival we definitly wouldnt have wasted almost 3 hundred dollars for 2 nights! I think they should have let us know about this before hand and also those rooms should be stocked with robes as a courtesy. We couldnt even swim but twice due to the outside temp. Who wants to have to run to their room wet in the freezing cold! Waste of money and definitly disappointed. Would have appreciated a warning so we could decided for ourselves to stay in an outside room!
