Super Nasty. We had no-smoking room on 1'st floor, dead bugs on bath floor & room carpet. Cig burns on bed cover and on the moist sheets. Sticky bug catcher (with bugs) tossed on floor by bed. Room had a bad odor that they tried to mask with a spray that permeated the air. Bad, Bad, Bad. (BAD!) The front desk ladies (at check in, and check out, however, were quite nice and helpful.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel.

We often visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park in this part of Ohio and have stayed at Super 8 Richfield about 10 times. The price is very good compared to other motels in the region. Other than our very first visit, I have slept well each time. Our room has always been clean and well supplied, except for an occasional missing item which was gladly provided by the staff when requested. The breakfast is not extravagant but has always been entirely sufficient for our needs. All staff with whom we have interacted have been friendly and helpful. The first floor hallway smells a bit smoky, maybe because the carpet, while clean, is getting old and has been exposed to cigarette smoke for many years. However, our non-smoking room, which we have always requested, has never smelled smoky, whether on the first or second floor. All rooms on the second floor are non-smoking. We have never had a problem finding good parking, with lots both in the front and rear of the building. There is a nice view to the west, and the burning-bushes in front are beautiful in autumn. Overall, we have been very happy with Super 8 Richfield as our place to stay when we visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are all non-smoking.

Not really that bad considering the cheap weekly rate. The rooms are fairly clean and good sized. The staff are all really nice and they allow dogs. They even give a breakfast (sort of).

Clean. Indor pool with hot tub. Room has what you need. TV, internet, beds, shower tub, hairdryer, coffee pot, alarm. Not the ritz but this is not my destination. Family restaurant, DQ, subway so close you feel lazy to drive there, but it is a busy road. Staff very friendly and appear to sincerely like to work here. I wil return on my return trip since its half way there and half the price of others. Also has a breakfast included.

I attended a two day business meeting at the Hampton inn across the street from the super8. I chose to stay here as the rate was 37$ and at the Hampton they wanted $129. No brained right? Well the entire building reeks of smoke. My room was decent but the walls were dirty the bed was hard and the sheets were stained. The outside of the building looks brand new but the inside is very dated. I would not reccomend this hotel.

My first stay at this hotel was in June 2010 to attend a concert at Blossom (which is just a short drive away by back roads through the National Park), and we enjoyed our stay so much that we booked a room here again a year later in June 2011.

This is a nice quiet property set well back from the road, with a private residence on one side, a (permanently closed?) miniature golf course on the other side, and a densely wooded area immediately behind the hotel. The hotel is within convenient easy-on/easy-off proximity to both the Turnpike (I-80) and I-77. Front desk personnel was friendly and polite for both visits. Rooms are typical no-frills Super 8 rooms -- basic, but clean. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner pumped out the cold air with no problem and kept the room at a consistent temperature all night (and didn't make any rattling sounds or have any weird smells coming out of it).

The property also has a large indoor pool and hot tub. We didn't use these, but they appeared to be well-maintained.

For a $50-ish price, this is a really good deal for the money.

I would also recommend checking out the mom-and-pop diner located next door (within walking distance) -- we had a very good hot breakfast there on both visits.

The woman at the front desk was nasty. The parking sucked. The rooms smelled awful. Cigarette smoke was everywhere. The curtain was filthy. The beds were gross. The tub didn't drain. The towels were dirty and hard. The bathroom floor had hair on it. Never. Ever again.
