My husband and I spent 2glorious days in a Glenlaurel croft. The croft was well appointed. The screened porch kept the summer bugs away. The deck hot tub was inviting.

Food was quite good though we noticed differences in the skill of chefs. As a diabetic I would have appreciated a few veggies out during happy hour. Carb counts in crackers add up fast.

We took advantage of the "picnic"option.it was perfect after a long morning of hiking to tuck into a beautifully made packed lunch. This is a remote area. Finding good fresh food close by would be a challenge. A great value.

We will return to Glenlaurel to celebrate our anniversary. We cannot wait to see the hills in December.

Thank you for taking the time to review Glenlaurel. Though we offer fruit and olives with our fine cheeses during social hour I like your suggestion of perhaps fresh carrot sticks and broccoli florets as well. I'm glad you got to take advantage of the picnic lunch. Next time ask for a basket that can be used for that day. We look forward to seeing you for your anniversary; don't worry, the roads will be fine.

This was our third visit to Glenlaurel. This time we stayed in the McLeod cottage, and although we were initially disappointed that the crofts we loved were booked, we really enjoyed the cottage. Everything was perfect about our stay. We loved the beautiful surroundings, enjoyed the Jacuzzi and hammock in the woods, and the food was amazing as well! Thank you Glenlaurel! Can't wait to come back!

I am so glad you "had" to stay in our lovely cottages with the king beds. Everyone does have their favorite so now maybe the MacLeod will be yours! Thank you for letting us host you again. And we look forward to having you as a guest sooner than later.

This was our first visit here, but will certainly not be our last. The surroundings were beautiful, our cottage was lovely, with a hot tub on the deck, gas fireplaces, very comfortable bedding... We had dinner at the Inn and the food was superb as well as the service, our complimentary breakfast was very nice with Eggs Benedict, and French Toast on a beautiful patio!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wallace Cottage, it was perfect! Hot Tub on Deck, gas fireplaces, everything was so...

Thank you for your glowing review of our luxurious, romantic getaway. I am so thrilled you enjoyed your peaceful time here and even more pleased you'll be returning-maybe this Fall? October is of course popular here but September and November are just as lovely. I look forward to seeing you again!

This was the third visit to Glenlaurel for my husband and me. The setting, the accommodations, and the atmosphere are conducive to a relaxed couple time experience. We've stayed in a croft each visit. Upon entering the croft, guests find Celtic music playing, soft lighting, and traditional Glenlaurel Scottish shortbread: an excellent welcome that sets the tone for the visit. The private hot tub on the deck is a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking in the beautiful Hocking Hills. Breakfast, included in the cost, is a gourmet delight. Guests may also add on dinner in the manor house, a six-course delight. Though pricey, the experience in this Scottish haven is worth every penny.

We just stayed at the one of the cottages for 2 days at Glenlaurel and thoroughly enjoyed it! The setting was spectacular and we enjoyed hiking the gorge, which is on the property. The cottage was comfortable and decorated nicely. We also enjoyed the privacy of the hot tub. The food was excellent! We ate breakfast there both mornings and then ate dinner on Thurs. evening, which was a 6 course meal. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning in the future.

Room Tip: Be sure to hike the gorge. You will not be disappointed!

It's great to hear you took advantage of our own hiking trails and gorge with its 80 plus foot cliffs. After experiencing the spectacular setting as you well said, that private hot tub restores the soul and body for the fine dining. We look forward to hosting you again, perhaps this Fall when the property is even more spectacular! Thank you for choosing Glenlaurel for your retreat.

This was our first stay in Hocking Hills area and booking at Glenlaurel was an amazing choice! We actually bought gift packages for two of our sons for a Christmas gift and wanted to see what it was like. We couldn't have been more surprised how relaxed and absolutely perfect it could be. 5 star all the way from their breakfast to dinner and the cleanliness of the entire facility. Romance or just needing to get away, hike, read, bond, eat........whatever! It's great!

Room Tip: We stayed in a suite but for the value, the crofts would be a better choice!

I am so glad you "tested" us out for your sons. It was a pleasure to meet you and your husband and thank you for your kind words. I, too, like the East Crofts and that is where you should stay next time when Florida gets too hot for you! I look forward to hosting your sons!

Stay 5/22/14. This is our 3rd visit. Dinner (Filets) was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Room as always was very clean except the bedside table drawer had a bottle of "Trojan Sex Lube" left behind, unless all rooms come so equipped. We trashed it. Perhaps a cleaning checklist needs to be followed,

Room Tip: Wife and I celebrated anniversary at Glen Laurel last week. Third time visitors. Stayed in Bruce Cro...

We do have procedures in place so I am so sorry for that little "slip up"; no, our accommodations do not come equipped with such products but we can provide the more traditional toothbrushes and toothpaste! Thank you for alerting us and for you continued visits!
