The wife and I stayed at getaway cabins on August 3-5. The staff have the check-in process down to a science, very welcoming, friendly, and went over their arrival packet in detail. Total check-in time was a mere few minutes and off we drove a short distance to Cabin #14.

Cabin is an A-Frame and is small but yet more than perfect for two. Very clean. The cabin is furnished with everything you need- even a 12 cup coffee maker (don't forget to bring your own coffee- that's the ONLY thing they don't supply) Basic gas grill with extra tank on the lower deck with the hot tub and table set. Cabin is set in for total privacy, the deck has thick board rails for additional privacy when getting in the hot tub. It does sit below the main road so you can hear some car traffic when outside, but it is silent inside the cabin.

The cabin has two decks- the lower main and a upper level one off the bedroom loft. The queen size bed was very comfortable and there is plenty of lighting options inside the cabin to set whatever mood you like. Full kitchen with fridge and oven and all cooking items you'd ever need. Just bring your own food (and COFFEE) If you do forget something there is a general store about 0.6 mile up the road.

The bathroom also has everything you need also- leave your hair dryer at home.Plenty of nice thick bath towels. We were not lacking in anything- getaway has thought this out well. We went their to relax and de-stress (and do some hiking in Hocking Hills) The only thing that is lacking is CELL PHONE service-be prepared that entering the Hocking hill region you will be totally free from any outside distractions- that right- no Facebook, No Twitter, No email and best of all- No phone calls. Getaway is upfront about this, however we already knew this as we've hiked Hocking Hills many times.

If it's just the two of you, this cabin is very nice and relaxing. We spent alot of time on both the lower deck (cooking/ hotub) and the upper deck-it has swinging lounger chairs and table. It's in the middle of young thick woods so you primary view is of the trees. Don't expect to work on your tan at this location.

If you plan to hike Hocking Hills, this cabins location is pretty much dead center of all the main attractions of Hocking Hills- Old mans Cave is a mere two miles away, etc

Check out is even easier- just turn out the lights, leave the key in the cabin and close the door behind you and drive home.

You won't regret renting this A-Frame cabin. We plan on returning to Getaway Cabins in the future and checking out another one of their 20 cabins to rent.

Room Tip: Small A-Frame that's just perfect for two people

My wife and I stayed in the Butterfly Bungalow at Getaway Cabins in late July. The cabin was great! We were both very impressed by the amenities and the excellent condition of the cabin. It definitely exceeded our expectations and had everything (and more!) that we needed for a great stay. Very neat and clean upon our arrival. There are several cottages at the main location, but each is very secluded and private.

The Hocking Hills area is very beautiful and enjoyable. Old Man's Cave and Conkle's Hollow are a must! We are already planning a spring trip to the area to see the waterfalls. Will stay at Getaway cabins again!

We have stayed at multiple cabins in the Hocking Hills area and have enjoyed our stay every time. We were really looking forward to a family weekend with our 3 kids with Getaway Cabins. I attempted to book a cabin with Getaway Cabins for Thanksgiving weekend so my family could enjoy a holiday away. In the process of getting quotes and discussing it with my family I was given a different quote every time I called. They then gave me a quote in writing via email and when I called to book the cabin the price went up by $200 even though it was within 24 hours of when I originally called. They refused to uphold their written quote, they stated that the person that gave me the quote made a mistake it was very busy. I've been in customer service and when you make a mistake and the customer has a written quote you do the right thing for the customer and up hold what you put in writing. I will never stay with Getaway Cabins due to their poor customer service from the beginning.

My boyfriend and I had booked a weekend with Getaway Cabins after they began posting monthly deals on facebook. They feature two cabins a month for a super deal. It is first come first serve until the month fills up, same price weekday or weekend. We got our cabin for $80 a night. It was regularly $199 a night on the weekend (and still worth it). We stayed in "The Homestead" cabin. It was THE MOST PERFECT romantic setting I could have imagined. When we entered, there was romantic music playing and we were amazed at the quaint beauty of "The Homestead." The hot tub on the back porch was perfectly secluded surrounded by beautiful woods. It had an amazing LED light set-up and really set the night time mood. The loft bedroom was comfortable. Every kitchen item you would need was there (minus a blender). There was satellite TV available but who needs that when you have all of Hocking Hills to explore! The staff were very friendly when we checked in and we were left alone to enjoy our stay privately for the weekend.
The hiking trails were within a couple miles from our cabin. We explored every trail we could find. It is amazing down there! Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave were close and Rock Cave was about 6 miles away but worth the drive! We didn't want to leave and wanted to book our next stay before we left. They offer weddings there and I seriously cannot think of anywhere else I would rather get married! Next time we will definitely get the in cabin massages!

We had the most beautiful and intimate wedding at Getaway Cabins. Our cabin was absolutely darling. When we arrived, there was romantic music playing and the fireplace was gently blazing. The cabin was spotless. The view was breathtaking especially from the hot tub! This is a perfect place for R & R!! No telephones, nothing but seclusion and nature. We can't wait to go back! The staff was fantastic!

We booked three days at The Homestead Cabin for our honeymoon June 16-19. The cabin and hot tub were wonderful, but on the evening of Day 2, a racoon made its way up onto the deck of our cabin and refused to leave - nor be scared away. Not thinking that he was just "being friendly", we were concerned about being bitten and decided to leave a day early. The staff were well aware of the racoon problem, and could not have been nicer, but we were disappointed that we were not even offered partial compensation for our shorten visit.

We stayed Memorial Day weekend in the Eagle's Nest Cabin. The drive from the main cabin takes about 10 minutes, so it's a little further from the main Hocking Hills activities. However, the driving is not bad at all.

The cabin itself was quite nice - nicely furnished and clean. The jacuzzi was clean and the housekeepers came to check in on the water and chemicals, etc. They also came to refresh our towels.

You really feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. To get to the cabin, you'll drive past an unsightly lot of semi-trucks and trailers. But the feeling of peaceful isolation is worth it.

Bring your own toiletries and soaps. There is only one grocery store in the nearby area before having to go into Logan, so you may want to bring a cooler of groceries with you.

My only complaint was that the bed frame was squeaky - any small toss or turn will be heard.

Overall, a nice cabin.
