This place is great for the value. It is very clean, not a speck of dust. This is the third stay and will stay again. Highly reccommend. If your life is stressful it's a great place to destress.

We visit amish country a couple of times a year and always try to stay at this small inn. We have stayed there at least twelve times and in every room. If you are looking for a small inn tucked away on a hill all by itself, with excellent views and service this place is for you. The rooms are spotless, large, have patios, and quiet. There is a restraunt near by and Walnut Creek is a small town unlike Berlin that is very busy. Walnut Creek has several shops in the main area of town which is about a mile from the Inn. It is owned and operated by an individual who really cares to make sure you feel welcome and receive what you pay for. I would suggest you make reservation way in advance because they only have 8 or 9 rooms.

Room Tip: You can get on their web site and look at most of the rooms. We like the Cherry room but have stayed...

We had a mother/daughter trip the end of Aug. thru the first of Sept.. We had The Cherry Room which has 2 separate ( I believe queen size) beds.It also has a fireplace and jacuzzi. The room was VERY spacious! We were originally thinking of another hotel that is also very nice but, was more than we wanted to pay. We wanted top quality w/little money spent on the room so more of our funds could go for shopping and food! So I called because of its central location to our shopping plans. The least expensive room was already booked, but I was upgraded to a room w/a jacuzzi , fireplace and better patio for like $10 more! A real deal! The Inn is very quaint and quiet and is off the road a short way with a longer private drive. Absolutely no road noise or any noises! When we checked out the lady at the front desk let us look at all the other empty rooms that were available. They were even more beautiful! If you are looking at the front of the Inn all of the rooms on the left side have the better view of rolling hills from the patio. We would definitely stay here again. It's also all on one floor, easy for luggage. I am a very picky person and I approve this Inn. =)

Room Tip: Book your room as early as possible.

We just returned from a weekend at the Oak Ridge Inn in Walnut Creek, Ohio. We have been to Holmes County many times (about 15) and stayed many places (about 6) over the years and throughout those years we've spent a lot more than we did this weekend for a lot less. This place is beautiful. The owner told us the inn has been there since the 1990's but we felt as if our room was still brand new. He does a wonderful job of keeping things updated and sparkling clean and the towels and sheets were nice to the touch. Our suite (Shaker Suite) was a 2-room suite just down from the lobby with a king sized bed and a little porch out back. It was lovely. When we checked out we peeked into the other rooms while the doors were open and 'oohed and ahhhed' over all of them. The pictures on the website do not do the rooms justice. The location of the inn (literally around the corner from Der Dutchman) on a short dead end street made it very peaceful. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Room Tip: Book early - they only have 8 rooms!

My husband and I spent two nights at the Oak Ridge Inn and we have nothing but rave reviews!! We stayed in the Walnut room. When we walked in the door, it was "WOW!" from both of us at the same time! The room had a huge king-sized bed. a jacuzzi, corner fireplace, two comfy recliners, a kitchenette and a view to die for!!! This room was on the back corner and looked out over hills and Amish barns. There was also a patio with a glider that we sat out on in the morning. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly. We had planned to spend three nights, but unfortunately Hurricane Earl was looming near our home, so we had to leave a day early. We would definitely recommend this inn if you are visiting Amish country.

Amish Country Ohio to it's finest. We took our 2 boy's 12 & 4 and they were equally excited at the sights of the amish, sounds of the horse and buggy and the smells of the rolling green farmland. Oak Ridge Inn was located atop a high hill overlooking farmland. The boy's played catch on the soft green grass. We had a free Horse/Buggy Ride from Lester located at the top of the entrance to the Inn. The rooms were cleaner then any room I have ever stayed in. I even looked behind the bed. I got the Presidental Room and definitely could have stayed a whole week if they'd let me. It was a busy authentic Amish place to visit. Lot's of free samples (Ice Cream, Fudge) Definitely Stay at THE OAK RIDGE INN. Best Location and Great Price $115 a lot for your money. Even had a kitchen.

We recently spent one night at the Oak Ridge Inn, located in Walnut Creek, OH. Just off the main road (39), it is a lovely, small inn, with very personal service. We were arriving late and they left the front door unlocked, with our room key on the counter-you don't find that happening anymore, do you? We were very happy they would do this for us, as they don't have desk hours at that time. The owners live close by and from what I learned, will come to the inn right away if needed. We sure wish we could have stayed longer at this lovely inn. The room is very large, with 2 queen beds, which were very comfortable, as well as the pillows. The furniture was all Amish made oak. Two large wing back chairs were provided, set right in front of the lovely TV armoire. They have a very nice oak cabinet where the frig and microwave are kept, along with a dry sink and plenty of cabinet space for your private groceries, snacks, etc. Large mirror above. Excellent lighting in the room. Very attractive wallpaper-in our room-it was library books on shelves. Everything went well together for a soothing look. Our little patio with a glider bench/swing was very private, and would have good views during the Spring or Fall. Other rooms in the inn have better views, we noticed. The breakfast looked nice, but we did not get to it in time, however, they offered to put more out for us and we declined. That was very nice of them we thought. Immaculate, both rooms and public areas. The price is decent. Parking is tight, however. If you are pulling a camper, for instance, you'd want to let them know, so they could give you info on where you could park it. I highly recommend this inn to anyone in the OH Amish Country area.
