“Want to return to the “Happy Days” of the 1950’s?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

Annie's Place is one of many antique shops in the pleasant village of Waynesville.

For years, the village has been "DRY;" however, there is now a pub with pure pub grub among the several other restaurants.

Waynesvilles comes alive on the weekends, and we find the best time to visit is during the deserted weekdays.

Want to return to the “Happy Days” of the 1950’s?

It is probably better NOT to visit with small children or adolescents; although these young folks will greatly enjoy nearby King's Island.

Keep an eye out for Opie, Beaver, and Richie and Fonzie!

Annie’s place is the quintessential mid-west American village store in a village frozen in time!

Personally, we endorse the Sauerkraut Festival, but we take care to avoid this weekend of “madness” in the village.

“Our favorite slice of Ohio's Antique Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

My wife and I took a long weekend trip to Waynesville Ohio for our anniversary this year. Amazingly, we had never been to this hidden gem of a town even though it's only about an hour from where we live!

The main street boasts abundant shops, restaurants & curiosities, but for us, one stood out above the rest.

Annie's Place sits on a cute Main St. corner with an open door and fun antiques on the sidewalk calling you in. Once you enter the historic building, you are greeted with an abundance and variety of antiques, some restored beautifully, others in all their original glory.

If you are lucky, you'll be greeted by Annie herself. She makes you feel right at home in her shop and if it's not busy, you can chat with her for a while (like we did when we came in at the end of the day). She will help you sort through all of the unique pieces and send you home with something that just right! We left with a 1950's garage door (soon to be a head board) and an amazing farmhouse cabinet that's taking up a prominent place in our newly redone office!

One huge plus at Annie's Place, they close at 6:00 PM on most nights, while most other Waynesville shops close at 5:00. Extra shopping time? Yes please!

Bottom line, there are a lot of great stops in this little town, but you'll really be doing yourself a disservice if you miss out on this stand out antique shop and it's amazing owner.
