This hotel is a real find. It's near the inner state but buried back a side street behind a super market and across the street from a residential area. I visit the area with a friend who visits family and have stayed here several times in the last year or so.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast is always well served and contains (given the type of food it is -- a buffet in a hotel -- reasonably good and even somewhat nutritous. The coffee is good and usually hot and there is a lot of it.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant area which last winter was just getting off of the ground. There is also bar service, which is also reason, attentive and fairly priced. The restaurant/bar is really more hotel breakfast buffet in nature with a high ceiling, lots of glass, and big TVs. As a result it's not the sort of place you go for a cosy drink or dinner. I've not eaten dinner there, but the food looks at least average and the people I have seen there (who mostly appear to be business travelers looking for something convenient) seem happy with their choices.
The hotel has an indoor pool with hot tub that is fairly nice. There are lots of towels although seating is a little limited on busy nights. The work out facility is small, even for a hotel, with minimal equipment; however the lighting is good and I've never seen people using it.
Front desk and other service is pleasant and helpful. There is no lobby shop, but limited purchases can be made at a front desk display. There are sufficient numbers of luggage carts (which is NOT always the case in mid-class sorts of hotels).
Rooms are comfortable with good bedding and fairly fluffy towels. The bathrooms are large enough to accomodate lots of toiletries and the refridgerator is large enough to accomodate purchases made at the super market (I believe a Meijer), which is nearby but not in comfortable walkng distance. Maid service was well handled, timely, and finished early enough not to disturb guests returning to their rooms in late afternoon.Wyngate provides USA Today to guests, usually delivered to the door.
There are numerous chain restaurants in the nearby area, particularly a Perkins (over the inter state) which is atypically good, especially for breakfast. There are no restaurants of particular note in the immediate area with which I am familiar.

Room Tip: Ask at the front desk for a room on the upper floors. This is a conference facility and does wedding...

I stayed at this hotel in West Chester for two nights recently. It is convenient to routes 75,275, and 71 just north of Cincinnati. It is a beautiful property - I had a king room- with whirlpool. Decor was excellent, all extremely clean, luxurious, comfortable - very large room; I cannot say enough good things. The staff was superior - answered my questions and requests with a smile. The breakfast was good. The pool was small but nice and the workout room was nice - open 24 hours. All for a cheaper price than Comfort Inn. The bistro/cafe was not so good, I suggest eating at one of the many local restaurants. I will definitely return here!

The best way to describe the location of the Wingate Inn is that it's inconvenient. Actually, it's inconvenient in two ways. The first is that it's actually quite far from downtown Cincinnati. About 15 miles. But Cincinnati may not be your destination, so it's not fair to lose points for that.

However, the property is also inconvenient because it's not located near much of anything (besides a Medical Center, which is probably why it's there). To get to any stores, restaurants, or gas stations you must drive about a mile before you come across anything. If you don't want to drive, you are isolated. But in the grand scheme of hotels, it's more of a minor annoyance, then a real problem.

And other then the above, the hotel itself is wonderful. Clean, comfortable, and spacious. I have no complaints with the property in any way, especially with the price I paid on Hotwire. Just be aware of its location.

I have stayed at this hotel several times this year on business trips and will definitely stay there again. The rooms are big enough, very comfortable (love the beds!), bathroom is very nicely lit and big as well. For a self-service breakfast you gotta try their bacon and scrambled eggs.

They've recently upgraded their internet from LAN (was only possible to use sitting at the desk) to a pretty fast WiFi. Kudos!

I have not used the pool or the spa.

I've dined their twice and everything was OK... but only OK. You are better off jumping in your car and hitting one of the maaaaany diners/restaurants in the zone, I recommend the Longhorn steak house, just a mile down the main road, towards Mason.

I mistakingly booked this hotel for 2 nights while working in the Cinci area. Upon arrival to the hotel the woman working at the front desk was on the phone (it sounded like a personal call based on how she ended it). The hotel phone started ringing too. She answered that call and helped that person even though I was standing there before the phone rang. She NEVER acknowledged my presence until she was off the phone with the second call. Needless to say she needs more training on being professional.
The hotel was sold out, so it was loud because a boys baseball team was traveling and staying there. There were people running down the hallways, slamming doors and talking loudly.
The room was not all together terrible, but it definitely was not great. There was a big black spot in the tub that looked like an insect. It was actually a spot where the paint has been scraped, but it should be touched up. I was 2 seconds from demanding another room because of the "big bug."...lol. The air conditioner is loud and obnoxious and the internet is unreliable. The drain in the tub and sink was really slow. Anyone ever heard of Drain-O?
Breakfast was scattered all over the restaurant. I did not see a rhyme or reason behind the set up.
Bottom line...if you are in the area you should keep it moving and not stay at this hotel. You would be better off driving a little further and staying at hotels that are at the IKEA exit or staying in Cinci. West Chester is kind of out in the middle of no where, so it's better to stay closer to Cinci versus this random town.

We come down to this area fairly often to visit family. With two small children, we typically stay in one of those residential suites. We find the suites nice so that there is a door and the kids can have an earlier bedtime than the parents (or is it, so the the parents can have a later bedtime than the kids?). This hotel had a few rooms that were suites, it was a little closer to our family than the hotels right by the Ikea and it was 20 bucks or so cheaper and so we gave it a shot.

The building is nice, new and everything is clean
The breakfast (included) was pretty good. Besides the hot stuff, they did have fresh fruit.
The pool was nice and we lucked into getting it to ourselves in the morning.
Microwave in the room.

The bed was ridiculously hard. Really.
The sofa bed was a twin and not a double, even though the room was supposed to sleep 4.
There was no high chair in the restaurant.
They did not have linens for the pack-n-play that they provided (fortunately we had packed some, but every other hotels we have stayed in did provide them).
There was a mini fridge, but it did not have a freezer section.
The free internet service was very slow and dropped the connection often. I've actually written this whole review while waiting for a page to load at facebook.

All in all, I would say that this place would be great for adults or businesspeople who are not picky about comfortable beds and want a sports-bar type place to have breakfast.

I would not recommend this for families with children, nor will we come back.

Room Tip: King suite costs the same and has a jacuzzi tub

This was a one night business trip and I was looking for something out of downtown Cincinnati with a safe feel and with decent restaurants in the immediate area. I reviewed this online and also had a friend recommend this hotel. The price is good and the service was excellent. My room was a king room on the "NOISY" side of the hotel. If you go, ask for the non-highway side. I never really noticed the interstate noise in hotels before, but this was the first time I've been close to one. It didn't help my night's sleep as I was already having trouble sleeping and the trucks were constant on the highway. Room was nice with the exception of three things. The toilet didn't flush completely after the first flush of the day, tear in the carpet in center of room needs repair, and tub has some enameled chipped off which needs repair. These weren't deal breakers, but I did leave a maintenance card ( found in room on desk) with the front desk. My room didn't have a "do not disturb" placard in it and the housekeeping staff woke me up twice to come in at 9 AM and 10 AM. Checkout is 11. Since they were in the hall when I checked out before 11, I reminded them to put one in the room to avoid the interruptions. Overall, the hotel is nicely situated in a golf club community and close to stores and restuarants. Very nice decor with fitness area, pool, laundry area, and they also offer massages in house! Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for non traffic side of the hotel
