It has taken me a few months to get around to this review, but the memory of a lovely week spent at the resort with my children is still strong. By far the great winner for my family was the beautiful pool, and its resident lizards! Our unit was upstairs, which was great, and backed onto the creek, so we could sit on the flyscreen enclosed balcony and enjoy the sounds of the water and the birdlife in the trees, without being eaten by mosquitos. We were easily able to slip the nearby supermarket, stock up and cook for ourselves. As well as a meal in the resort restaurant, which was delicious.
Some perks can be bad for you, like the taste for milkshakes and chips with gravy that my kids developed due to the convenience of the resort café, getting takeaway snacks whilst enjoying the pool and terrace. Overall the resort is clean, family friendly, provides parking albeit a bit tight, and I met many other guests who had barely left the resort during the stay due to the abundance of facilities. It is a nice distance from Coffs too, an easy 5-10 minute drive, but keeps you out of the tourist frenzy. Definitely a thumbs up!More
