I wish I had more reasons to go to Wooster so I could stay at Market Street Inn all the time! We came up from Columbus for a wedding and really, really enjoyed our first ever stay in a B&B. Breakfast was delicious on Saturday morning and we really enjoyed the camaraderie around the dining table. I bet the owners thought we were never going to get up from the table and leave! If you are in the Wooster area - stay here! Lovely, lovely place!

Room Tip: Book early for the bigger rooms in the front side of the house.

We came with our son to check out the College of Wooster. Allen and Jayne were extremely helpful with dietary considerations. We stayed in the Bexley which easily accommodated an extra twin bed. Beautiful room and appointments, lovely dinner options, and a truly fantastic breakfast. If our son chooses to attend Wooster, we will be back many times!

Room Tip: They all look wonderful!

The Market Inn is a beautiful Victorian house close to Downtown Historic Square in Wooster.
Two of the rooms have a bathroom in room. Two other rooms have bathrooms down the hall. The decoration in three of the rooms is outstanding. The decorative plaster on cielings in some rooms and the dining room is beautiful. The parquet floors are craftsmanship of bygone days.
The room and bathroom was very clean.
The hostess prepares a nice breakfast served at a table of 8 with other house clients.
It is a lovely home in a good location. One drawback-noise. There is no central AC. If you need a silent room, you will be disturbed by the window air conditioner. Maybe a good winter getaway. I would suggest you book the Bexley room. Also, if you do not drink tap water, you may want to bring your own bottled water for drinking water in the room.

Room Tip: Choose the Bexley Room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Market Street Inn. We loved our room (The Bexley) and the robes and bath soap/lotions were a nice touch. Jayne and Allen are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the coffee - perfect! If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely stay there.

The Bexley Room was perfect for our getaway. It was great meeting Allen and Jayne. The breakfast was an epicurean delight. Hearing the history of the Foss Mansion helped create a pleasant memory for us.
We will stay there again!

We wanted to stay near Amish or in the Amish area, we ended up at this B&B by pure luck. We checked in, took a walk all over town. We went to a restaurant recommended by Alan and it was wonderful. The book in the room said the walls were thin since the house was so old, but we had no issues with noise. We even had people walking in the hall at night and it was fine. The bed was so comfortable, we stayed in the Lewis room, and the room we had was perfect. I can't wait to go back again. I love that we could park the car and walk all over and the breakfast in the morning was great. More than enough food. The house is truly beautiful. Thanks for a great weekend.

Room Tip: The Lewis room was roomy and had a good size bathroom. There is a window a/c unit and a fan.

Our first stay at Market Street Inn was in 2010, when our son was checking out The College of Wooster. We booked our graduation stay at that time, knowing we would not be able to get a room here if we waited! Our second stay was just as great as the first time and felt like coming home. The Inn is a terrific value, with the room rate being less than many moderate hotels. The breakfast Jayne serves is delicious and abundant! Thanks, Jayne and Allen, for another great stay! If we're in Wooster again, we'll will definitely make a reservation with you.
