We arrived exhausted after walking in the heat and humidity all day. We were greeted by Allan and shown about the place. Our room was upfront and included a small private porch. As soon as we were inside, we laid down for a few minutes to rest up and fell asleep instantly. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept through a bad storm and never heard anything! Breakfast was a terrrific experience that we will enjoy again soon. The food was fresh and delicious and the other guests were so interesting that we talked for almost two hours. Can't say enough about the beautiful architecture of the home and stained glass windows. Just like home but with excellent service. Jayne and Allan do an outstanding job with the inn and really should entertain the notion of opening up a breakfast/lunch cafe.

The Market Inn is an oasis in a desert of look-alike hotels. Beautiful rooms, individually appointed, in a stately Victorian home. Easy walking distance to dining and shopping in downtown Wooster and the College of Wooster. Very friendly hosts and excellent breakfast. A delight to stay here. We'll be back!

You could never guess that the new Market Street Inn in Wooster, Ohio just had it’s grand opening a few short weeks ago! Located down the street from the center of downtown Wooster’s charming shops and restaurants, this Victorian styled inn is already a treasure! This is the perfect spot for respite when visiting Ohio’s Amish Country or as a way-point to and from the Cleveland – Columbus area.

The inn is artfully detailed inside and out with room after room of beautiful solid wood paneling and comfortably appointed common areas. But wait, it gets even better…

The most important attributes (for me, anyway) to any inn or bed and breakfast is the hospitality, the bed, and the food. This is where MSI hits it out of the park! Jayne and Allan Churchmack, owners of the inn go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home and welcome. They provided us with details about the area, information on interesting places to visit, and hints on where we could get a good dinner.

We chose to stay in the Lewis room which included an attached bath. The bathroom included toiletries and some of the softest and plushest towels I have ever felt. The bed was loaded with a thick white duvet and a ton of pillows! I truly slept better on that bed than in my own. We even asked about the mattress brand in the morning – they are that comfortable. Coffee is set out for guests on the console in second floor hallway about a half hour before breakfast, which I thought was a brilliant touch!

Ham Cups for Breakfast!
Jayne puts her Pastry Chef Certificate to good use at each breakfast. Ours included; fresh and hot raspberry scones – for which the word scrumptious doesn’t even do them justice; yogurt-granola-&-fruit parfaits; and Ham Cups with breakfast potatoes. The Ham Cups are slices of Black Forest Ham artfully holding chopped mushroom with shallots, creme fraiche, and topped with a baked egg. Heaven.

The best inn I have stayed at. Ever.

We recently stayed at the Market Street Inn for our anniversary. Really enjoyed our stay - the inn is beautiful, cozy, and delightful! The breakfast was scrumptious and Allan and Jayne were wonderful hosts. We walked a short distance for dinner, and there are quaint shops on the square and a number of restaurants to choose from. My husband especially enjoyed the homebaked cookies that were always out and ready in the lobby. We loved the parlor and spacious front porch, and our own little balcony.

We stayed at the Market Street Inn recently during a friends wedding. We had a great stay! The rooms were clean and well appointed. And the Hosts were so gracious they thought of everything! They had no problems with my dietary restrictions (mine aren’t severe) and the breakfast was so yummy, sometimes I wanted to ask for more! I would definitely stay here again!

The host and hostess couldn't have been more gracious, kind, personable, and thoughtful. A very nice couple. The house is beautiful with amazing woodwork in it's interior. There is plenty of space to go for a quiet spot to read in their parlor or sitting room. We stayed two nights and both homemade breakfasts were delicious, gourmet, and very filling. All homemade breads. We loved their scones....blueberry or raspberry. My husband and I love honey in our tea and asked for it the first morning and they had it already for us the next morning. There are so many thoughtful touches around, from homemade cookies always out and available to tea and coffee in the upstairs hallway in the morning and Bath and Body Works soaps and hair products in the bathroom. The towels are the best you can get anywhere!! It is quite clear the host and hostess strive to make you happy and comfortable in your stay with them. I highly advice this as a choice for a great B&B. You will not regret it.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. My husband and I stay at B&Bs whenever possible and have seen just about everything. Our only surprises at the Market Street Inn were positive ones.

From the comfy sheets, plush towels and fabulous food to the wonderfully maintained and appointed 19th century architecture. Even the breakfast conversation with our fellow guests was memorable.

We'll certainly be back whenever our travel plans get us close!
