“Cool and hip Frank Lloyd Wright Masterpiece”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

My husband and I are great fans of FLW architecture, so this detour to Bartlesville on our recent Route 66 road trip from Chicago to Arizona was a true delight. I knew about Price Tower in general, but was unaware (until Trip Advisor research) that there is a wonderful little boutique hotel as part of it. Our room was lovely, hip, modern, and with the amenities you'd expect from a boutique hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the 90-min tour of Price Tower (free for hotel guests) the morning after our overnight stay; in fact, we even joined as members of Price Tower Arts Center. Our only minor disappointment was the continental breakfast on the top floor; e.g. toaster did not work, only fresh fruit was bananas and apples. Just bringing that breakfast offerings up a notch would be good, and fitting to the overall very positive experience at this property.

Go here if you want to experience the architecture. Don't go if you just want a good hotel at a fair price since you'll be paying at least $40 more than other local hotels. The service by staff was impeccable and the rooms were clean and came with the expected 3-star amenities. However, that quirky architecture that looks amazing in pictures is terrifyingly claustrophobic in person. The elevators and shower could both induce a panic attack. Another oddity is the room entrances are gathered more into small cells than hallways and anybody passing through will make a lot of noise.

The Price Tower is an astonishing building that is being lovingly maintained. Our 2 story suite was essentially an original two bedroom apartment. So much space, with sensitive furnishings to match the spirit of the building. Everything was very comfortable.
The staff are just as good. Everyone was very friendly, happy to chat about the building and Bartlesville. The bar is well worth a visit - amazing room, great staff and drinks, although food options are very limited and food itself not great.
Dont miss the complementary tour of the Tower. The executive suite on the top three floors is the most beautiful workplace in the world.

Room Tip: The two story suites are stunning and original apartments. They are complete spaces, but fully reno...

Price tower was built by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 50s. The hotel rooms are unique and interesting. Very clean. Great service. There is a bar and good food on the menu. There is a tour of the hotel and it's history. True to his form, Frank made the elevators very small. I you enjoy hotels that are not cookie cutter you will like this place.

We read other TripAdvisor reviews thankfully and didn't think twice about reserving one of the two Suites. Smooth check-in. We were told to go the 14th floor for our luggage drop off. It is a two level suite with stairs that connect. The stairs are narrow angled yet cool. Lugging the suitcases up these would be uncool if not impossible. But with the instructions given at the desk all is well. The view is great. We went to the Bar for a Cocktail and the view is identical as the room but you are able to be outside to see the Sunset. The bathroom is definitely a tribute to FLW and his ability to stretch the confines of even the smallest of spaces but if you are on a romantic weekend to see nearby Woolaroc then a little incidental contact should be a good thing.

I've been wanting to spend a night here for over 20 years and I finally got to stay and check it off my bucket list. It was well worth it too. I'd had previous experiences exploring the tower and even had a drink at the Copper bar but had never spent the night till now. It's a Frank Lloyd Wright wonder and that alone makes it an experience not to be missed. The room was small, but the decor made up for that. There were two full walls of windows opening up to the view ~ very chic and modern decor. Typical Wright obviously. Even on the 7th floor the windows actually open! I would love to stay sometime when I could throw them all open for the night. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and I managed to get some of the last of the quiche which was tasty. There is also an option to buy a full breakfast if you prefer. We didn't have an opportunity to catch the tour or see the gallery, but as an inn, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend it, not just as an inn, but as an experience.

Stayed for one night in a standard room which was huge! The floor to ceiling wraparound louvred windows are awesome! The room decor gives you a calm and relaxed feeling. Had a burger at the Copper Bar which was delicious! The only thing regarding cleanliness I noticed was that it needed to be dusted around the edges of the walls where the carpet ended and there was a pink stain on the carpet, looked like someone had spilled something. Take the tour for sure, makes it much more interesting and learn all about Frank Lloyd Wright's quirks! I will definitely stay here again!
