The service at Lakeview Lodge was excellent from checkin to checkout. The room was a regular-size hotel room. It had a small refrigerator and microwave. And a balcony looking out at the lake. Charcoal grills and picnic tables at the lake. Nice hiking trails. A very pleasant weekend.

Really enjoyed our stay here over Memorial Day weekend. Big room, comfy beds, and free breakfast. Stay on first floor and you'll have a small patio with deck chairs facing the lake. Very friendly staff, ample parking, and kids playground. Close to the marina and we rented jet skis one day. Rented a canoe in Beavers Bend and went down the river. Close to town for groceries, lunch and dinner. Loved it and will be back again!

This is the ONLY lodging actually on Broken Bow Lake, other than primitive camping.

It was a beautiful view of the lake. All rooms are lakeview. However, the lowest level rooms have a double wide patio, which is nice, and if you stay in a room next to the lobby/eating area, you can connect to wifi, which is great since phone coverage is iffy sometimes.

Rooms were pretty large with a small fridge and microwave. The breakfast was ok, but if one didn't go early enough, there were fewer choices. The TVs have cable, but are really old, small (19", I think) tube TVs. We tried to watch the Thunder game and could never make out the score. We will take our 24" or 32" flat screen next time and hook to their cable...lol

My husband was in heaven over the Rainbow Trout fishing on the streams that are marked with the type of fishing you can do. He was throwing back 14" trout!

We usually prefer cabins, but it was a good compromise having free breakfast and being able to heat things up in the microwave. (However, as large as the rooms were, there was no table...odd)

There are a couple of chairs with a connecting end table on the covered patio.

If you go with friends, I suggest staying on the lowest floor so you can visit easily as there are no connecting rooms there.

Also, there are a LOT of stairs and walking.

The hotel is really basic but in a beautiful location. There are deer everywhere, we saw racoons, birds, snakes (eek!) and everyone who was fishing seemed to be having good luck. There's a playground on site that my son really enjoyed. The rooms have fridges if you need to keep snacks for little ones. The breakfast is not the greatest, but if you're aware of that you can plan ahead. It's danishes, cereals and little gray looking frozen sausages. This is no huge deal, but if you have a child and want to be out with them all day, fueling them up with sugar is a bad idea and there weren't really other options. Just something to know so you can bring the kinds of foods your kids typically eat.

We had heard numerous times how beautiful Beaver Bend Lake and State Park is so we decided to give it a try. The area is breathtakingly beautiful, looks like it could offer a lot of choices for those who love the lake life, as in fishing, hiking, boating, etc. However, we found the much-touted Lakeview Lodge quite a disappointment. The rooms are clean but unimpressive in amenities, the "free breakfast" was very disappointing and as a decaf coffee drinker, I was not impressed they don't have it to offer. Nor were there many healthy choices offered besides yogurt. The area is quite a drive to most of the finer restaurants. But, the best thing of the entire trip was the friendliness of the office staff. They make you feel welcome upon arrival and during your stay. All in all, our experience was a bit disappointing for us but realize any others may find it just their cup of tea.

Great hiking!
We did all three hiking loops - great views and peaceful.
The breakfast was better than they stated with sausage biscuits and ham croissants.
It had all we wanted. quiet, good food, and friendly staff.

Lakeview Lodge is a treasure in a perfect location - secluded in the forest and right on the lake. My husband and I came for the outdoor activities. We kayaked and fished on the lake near the lodge, and also hiked the trails at the lodge. The trails by the lodge are great - there is a novice loop that is about half a mile and several options for longer intermediate loops. We hiked a longer loop that was about 4 miles and it was beautiful. The lodge is not far from the main part of Beavers Bend State Park, where we went fly fishing, hiked more trails, and explored the Forest Heritage Museum.
The rooms are very nice for the price (we paid $85 per night). Breakfast was well-stocked every morning with coffee, milk, juices, and a good variety of packaged foods, including oatmeal, cereal, sausage biscuits, ham & cheese croissants, and sweet rolls. For lunch and dinner, we ate at several local restaurants just a few minutes away from the lodge, including Grateful Head, Blue Rooster, Abendingo's, and the Beavers Bend State Park Restaurant.
