“Great cottage”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

From the initial correspondence from Jane when booking to the final day of our stay we couldn't fault anything. Jane was interested in what we were wanting to do during our stay and made sure we had any information we needed. The welcome was lovely - including the Welsh cakes and fresh flowers. The cottage is a home from home with everything provided that we could need. The location was great for what we were wanting to do - Bike Park Wales, a walk up Pen-y-fan and a trip on the train to Cardiff. The views from the garden are lovely as were the friendly neighbours who we got along with very well enjoying a chat about our days and telling us where to go for a walk in the evenings. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here

Thank you Catherine for saying such lovely things about my little cottage. My aim is to make it an old-fashioned home from home experience, i'm pleased you felt the same.
Yes the neighbours too, loved your interaction with them.
Also thank you for watering my flowers .
Best wishes,
Jane

“Excellent cottage to stay in”
Reviewed 4 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Went for a cycling holiday with 3 friends, great place to stay and ideally located, great welcome pack when we got there, Jane couldnt be more help full when we broke down just 30 miles from house, got us sorted out with recovery so we could enjoy the the rest of the stay, the cottage has everything needed and is very clean and tidy, will definately be back next year and will be recommending it to everyone.

“Quaint older style cottage located in a small rural village”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This cottage was well suited to my requirements as I had my 2 adult children with me and the 3 bedrooms came in very handy. After our day trips, it was nice to get back to a comfortable lounge area to relax. The bathroom appeared to be newly renovated even though some finishing touches were lacking (missing toilet roll dispenser for one).
But the main reasons for not giving this a 5 rating were that the TV was very small and there was no clothes dryer. The former could be fixed with very little expense and the latter is a real must in the Welsh rainy climate.

“What a lovely little cottage-arrival pack a nice touch”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We loved our stay at Bwthyn Pen y Fan. The cottage is extremely charming with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We loved the location, close to the Brecon Beacons national park and close enough to go to Cardiff if you want. There is a good supermarket close by, and even though parking looked hard to get we never had a problem with parking. We would love to come back for longer next time as only 3 days was not enough. This is a wonderful part of the world to unwind, you feel so at home in this cottage
We would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation. Thank you Jane.

“Great place”
Reviewed 25 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Nice clean comfortable place.
Travelled around the UK and Europe for 5 weeks and stayed in a lot of places and this was by far the most well equipped. Had everything you could possibly need.
No restrictions on heating and fast WiFi.
Maybe not the flashed place or location around but a great place to base yourself with a car. Worth every cent.

“Charming Cottage with a warm Welsh welcome”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This charming cottage was ideal for the last week of our holidays in Wales and was central for all we had on our want-to-see-and-do-list between the Brecon Beacons and Cardiff (and there is SO MUCH! If you need inspiration you will find plenty of leaflets in the cottage itself). The cottage had everything we could possibly have needed - plus we loved the "Welsh tea" welcome that was waiting for us on our arrival. The cottage is very clean, quiet (despite the road) and warm, as well as tastefully furnished. We also enjoyed the superb views from the garden. Very much recommended and definitely the best cottage we had during all of our holidays in Wales so far.

“Fantastic accommodation and amazing location and views to die for”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We arrived for the holiday and were greeted with a fantastic e mail and also the welcome pack on arrival included a bottle of wine and some great Welsh cakes, tea and coffee and squashes.
The cottage was such a nice place with a lovely traditional theme, the old wooden doors were stunning. We were a family of 4 visiting from Scotland to see some family from Wales. This was such a lovely location where we could see Pen Y Fan from the back garden. We took our dog with us and he had a ball the back garden led right onto the mountains where we could walk for hours.
Jane the owner was such a lovely person who would do anything for you. I cannot say enough good about this cottage and the owner. Even the neighbors were amazing and helpful and friendly.

We would definitely recommend this cottage as its such a great location and with the Brecon Beacons only 20 minutes and in the heart of the valleys.

Also a lovely place to visit where you can pay your respects for the poor children of 1966 that perished in the Aberfan disaster.

Thank you again Jane for a lovely week.
