If nothing else, splurge for the dinner. The price seems a little steep, but trust me, this is a 5 course fine dining experience that you will not regret and would NEVER expect at a B&B. I expected the dinner to be catered, but to my surprise, it was the owner, Jim, cooking everything from scratch using his own recipes and serving me and my wife. We had the prime rib dinner which was phenomenal!
Upon arrival we were greeted by Jim, who is a very nice man. He showed us to our room and explained the amenities and house rules. We stayed in the First Lady's room, which was charming and has a large 2 person jetted tub and a stocked mini-fridge. The bed was super-comfy and the room very cozy. The house is located on a corner lot, which you can hear some passing traffic, but nothing excessive. We slept comfortably and Jim had breakfast ready by our specified time. Breakfast was great well. It started with a parfait-like fruit and granola cup made from scratch. I say parfait-like because Jim makes what looks like the yogurt, but is actually some sort delicious cream concoction. After that, he serves scrambled eggs, sausage, an awesome blueberry stuffed French toast, and hashbrowns.
Feedback (minor issues): some dust, our room looked like it could have used a quick vacuuming, and not that we watched much TV, but the TV could use an updating.
Overall, we loved our stay and will recommend it to our friends and anyone looking for nice getaway. Thanks Jim!
