We have stayed here on 4 different trips, and all of them were positive. This is not the Ritz, but a decent, clean, and thrifty place to stay in Norman, which I think is WAY overpriced overall. They have a decent breakfast included, free in room coffee, free parking, and free wifi (very important to me). The bed was comfy, and the room was spotless. This has been the case each time we have stayed at this hotel. We will be there this weekend, visiting my mother, and I expect it will be Ok again. If not, I will let you know....

I travel to Norman often for football weekends. Normally stay at the Days Inn just down the road, but it was recently full so stayed at the Guest Inn instead. Room was decent - a little worn but clean. Not a bad deal for $50. Location is convenient to the interstate and restaurants. Breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about. I prefer the Days Inn down the street as they have hot waffles on their breakfast. Nothing like waffles to get you going in the morning. This isn't a bad choice, though when the Days is full.

Good value and location. This hotel is reasonably priced and next door to Golden Corral, Walmart, and Dennys. Rooms are in good condition and the front desk person was very helpful. This is an older hotel than some of the others in this area but it is a good place to stay for the price you pay.

We have only the highest praise for this property. Our room was on the first floor and was very clean and quite. The bathroom was also cleaner than most other motels we've stayed in. The front desk help were very accomodating and friendly. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Don't miss this bargain priced property.

Spent one night at the Guest Inn in Norman during Spring Parents Weekend at OU. We had two adults and one 11 year old, so having two queen beds was nice. The bathroom was clean and we had all the washclothes and towels we needed when we checked in. The room had a fridge and a microwave, but we had to unplug a lamp to run the microwave. The floor lamp didn't work, which made the room a little dark. Lots of channels on the cable TV, although we weren't in the room for much more than sleeping and showering. The free breakfast consisted of cold cereal, orange juice, rolls, and some ham-and-cheese Hot Pockets. Denny's is right next door if that isn't enough for you. If you want to stay in a hotel with lots of ammenities, this probably isn't the place for you. If you need a place to sleep, shower, and get enough breakfast to get you going for the day, this is probably one of the better deals in Norman for the price. The hotels/motels in Norman know that they can probably sell out almost anytime there is something going on OU (football game, Parents Weekend, etc.), so you aren't going to find a decent $49 room unless you drive 20-30 miles.

My wife and I stayed here with our 13 year old son for 3 nights begining Aug. 18. If you are real picky this is not the place for you. However, we paid $50 per night and were suprised at the size of the room. We had a fridge, micowave, and unlike a previous reviewer, they have just replaced all the TV's with new 25" sets (the boxes were outside). We did get and would recommend a ground level room that is out toward the pool. You get a sliding glass door in additon to the main door with a patio and a nice grassy area to sit and relax and you can see the pool to keep an eye on the kids.

The location is one of the great things about this hotel. It is right off of the interstate, resturants are all around it, (Denny's is in the hotel, Golden Corral is only 10 yards away, Waffle house is 30 yards away, and Wal-Mart is directly behind the hotel, all a easy walk) and the OU stadium is not 5 min away.

It is not the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at, but it was not horrible; it kind of reminds me of an old Howard Johnson.

The free breakfast was weak. Not much here so don't count on it. A few boxes of cereal and small donught holes.

Overall, for the money it was ok. Not great, not bad.

The staff was extremely friendly. The pool needs more attention (with cleaning). The room was ok, the sheets/blankets were clean and new. My room had a fridge/microwave. The bathrooms had mildew on the shower walls, and on the curtains. The TV in my room only went to channel 13, and I called the front desk to ask about this. Within 5 minutes, a maintence man knocked on my door, with a different TV on a cart. He switched out the TV's, and was very friendly. They have high speed internet, but the connection was slow. I've stayed at nicer hotels, but for the price, and friendly staff, I'll probably stay here again.

  • Liked — Close to the Interstate, many restaurants, and a shopping mall.
  • Disliked — Bathroom in my room was filthy w/mildew
  • Tips/Secrets — Get an indoor access room, there is too much traffic noise in the outdoor access rooms.
