First time for Motel 6, pleasantly surprised, it was nice and clean, little hard to sleep because I inside where a lot of people were walking by with noise all night , although I did feel safer inside, and air conditioner kept coming on and off all night, but still ok will stay there again if need to.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this was the nicest Motel 6 I have ever stayed in. Lobby was big and bright and cheery and even boasted an elevator. Checkin was prompt, efficient and friendly. Room was quaint but very comfortable. Our room was equipped with a large wall mounted flat screen tv, microwave and fridge. Coffee was available at coffee bar down stairs. There was no hair dryer in the room but a call to the front desk and they had one waiting for me.

Large grocery store is located across the street and a multitude of dining was available within walking distance or 5 minute drive. There was a large Target store and other misc. strip mall shopping adjacent to the property.

The rooms were a bit different (think IKEA) but very functional and comfortable. I would heartly recommend this motel for anyone staying in the Norman area. And it was a great price for a property of this quality.

Room Tip: No coffee maker in the room- coffee bar in lobby. Take your first cup of morning coffee to your roo...

We live in Norman but stayed there Saturday night as we had no power following a major storm Friday night. This was the only hotel with a vacancy in town. The four stars do not reflect that this is a four star hotel, far from it in fact. But for a basic room, this place is great.

PROS

Very clean
Fairly comfortable beds
Generously sized room
Good AC
Good cable
Great WiFi, in fact faster than most of the hotels we've stayed in.
Very helpful staff who bent over backwards with our flexible requests.

CONS
Thin towels (shouldn't be a surprise given the class of lodging)
Seemed to be able to smell smoke every so often in our non-smoking room.

This Motel 6 is a great option for a basic room. Would not hesitate to suggest it to anyone. Very surprised. Actually kinda enjoyed the mini getaway.

We pulled in really late and the front desk took a little longer than usual to check us so the lady decided to discount our room (it took her like five mins extra). The rooms were very clean and reminded me of dorm rooms from college. I think that's appropriate being in Norman OK (fans of OU). The place was built in 2008 but still looks brand new! My favorite motel 6 so far!

We really like this hotel. It is new, so it is very clean and even has that new smell. The service was awesome. All of the employees are very nice!! There is a grocery store within walking distance and this was very helpful. Dog friendly. No pool. Convienient to many shopping and eating places.

Room Tip: All rooms are good!!

Everything was good. Nothing Great, but it is a budget hotel not a 5 star resort.
Can't complain about anything at all.

I am giving this hotel a rating of Excellent due to the fact I was very happy and would stay there again. But there were some very minor cons and I mean minor but it still does not effect my rating. Cons: 1) Pillows were flat 2) Coffee was horrible 3) There was no alarm clock 4) No garbage cans outside the property to throw out trash (a little shocking because we had a dog and there was no place to throw out the bag of "you know what"). 5) Hotel room doors would slam shut

Pros: 1) New hotel (built 2009) 2) Nice decor in the rooms 3) Has a microwave and fridge 4) Clean rooms and bathroom 5) Staff was friendly and asked if I had a preference in which floor I wanted to stay on (which was great because there was a crying baby that I could hear from the front desk and even heard later that evening when coming back from dinner) 6) Pet Friendly (NO FEE!!!)

We will definitely be staying here again. We normally stay at La Quintas because they have no pet fee either, but they were all booked. Now we know we have more then one option when finding a hotel at the last minute when we take our spontaneous road trips.
