This place has a lot to offer, history history history, Plenty of air craft to look at and research outside and awesome displays inside with very good information for those to like to read and put a picture to memory. Staff is great and will answer any question you may have. I recommend Highly in support of our troops and the history to how we arrived to were we are today.

“Interesting Free Military History Museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2014

This is one of the best military history museums I've seen and it's free!! They currently have construction with limited parking but interesting displays and volunteer guides that are informative and eager to answer questions in a cheerful manner.

“Lots of memorabilia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014

This is the museum for the 45th Infantry Division from WW II. They had several rooms filled with memorabilia from WW II as well as how the Division was formed prior to the war. Also major hardware on display outside the building.

“Spring Break trip to the 45th Infantry Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

Entrance to the museum is free but donations are always accepted. The museum has an admirable collection of military equipment on the grounds from WW2 Sherman tanks through the 1980s. It has a fine collection of vintage firearms from the Civil War to the mid twentieth century. There is also an extensive collection of Nazi artifacts taken when allied forces overran Germany. There is a nice army patch collection WW2 to current and a large exhibit devoted to Bill Mauldin, a WW2 cartoonist and the division's most famous son. My children 10 and 7 were able to spend more than an hour in there without becoming bored. The thing that seemed to stick out most in their minds was the WW2 child's gas mask in the shape of a mouse's face which my daughter labeled as "creepy." The staff (mostly volunteers I suspect) were very welcoming.
