Owner description: Military museum with many items from World War II.

On an incredibly hot August afternoon, we were very grateful to explore the inside portion of the FREE (donation appreciated) 45th Infantry Division Museum. The Museum is laid our chronologically starting early in American history and progressing through our wars to Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the highlights for me was the room including Hitler's personal items and other artifacts brought back from WWII. Other indoor areas include armaments, military cartoons, and military vehicles (jeeps, ambulances, etc.) We spent about two-three hours there--could've been longer, especially because we didn't look around the outside exhibits. Museum is self-guided, but the docents are very knowledgeable and full of stories.

There is so much to see! There are exhibits inside that cover just about everything imaginable. Guns, uniforms, bayonets, swords, knives, hatchets, bullet shells...and then you go outside an there is MORE! Cannons and trucks and an ambulance. air planes, helicopters, guns on trailers, IT WAS AMAZING!

You begin outside with a broad array of tanks, planes, and support vehicles. Inside are displays from turn off the century. Staff is well educated and displays are tastefully presented. Plan on 2 hours to digest it all.

This museum had great exhibits. The exhibits had great information to go with them and told the history of the unit. The information about the liberation of Dachau is very emotional and educational. Great place for history and military buffs. The workers are so worth taking the time to talk to them because they were there. All of the volunteers are veterans and were willing to share their stories and information. Take the time to talk to them especially the World War Ii Vets.
