Short hiking trail; Great location for a hike with small children; Usually lots of birds, and occasionally larger animals, as well.

My boys got excited when they saw the deer crossing sign. Even more excited as the deer began crossing their paths for most of the trail.

I often go to Martin during lunch hours and walk when the weather is good. It is a great little spot of nature in the city. Easy walking trails and pavilions and benches along the way to sit and relax. It is a great little spot to getaway for an afternoon without having to leave the city

Pleasant nature trails, an interesting visitor's center, and a fun-filled playground make this a family favorite. We saw multiple deer on the trail, too!

We spent a great couple of hours with young very active nephews hiking and exploring and enjoying the upgrades recently made to The park. Must see activity in NW OKC

One of my favorite spots in OKC and a terrific place to get your daily steps in. I’m an OKC local and this is one of my go-to spots for both exercise and relaxation. I don’t know that it has enough to recommend it to attract out-of-towners, but if you’re from the area you couldn’t ask for a better park to escape the city in. In the summer and fall when the trees are in full foliage, the woods and tall grass around the various walking loops are so dense you can easily forget that you’re right off the turnpike and a half a block away from a large hospital complex.

The park is deceptively large, with about 2.5-3 miles of shaded walking trails packed into a fairly compact parcel of land. The trails are a mix of gravel, dirt, bridges and wooden boardwalk and are well cared for and clearly marked. The terrain is fairly flat, though there are enough hills with wooden steps and exposed tree roots set into them than I’m not sure I’d say it was handicapped accessible. I see parents with strollers in the park frequently so somehow they must be navigating the paths, obstacles be damned.

The park has a large pond and large creek and boasts a lot of opportunity for walking wildlife. Lots of birds for birdwatching, turtles, fish and quite a few deer frequent here. The visitor center also has a small collection of critters in terrariums for viewing, mostly amphibians and reptiles though they do have a few prairie dogs as well. It also features a nice play area for children and the park has plenty of benches scattered through it if you’re just looking for a place to sit and enjoy nature.

Anyway I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an afternoon outdoors who is already in the area.

This is a great nature park. There are lots of shade trails to walk. A fantastic playground for little people. I always bring small piece dog food to feed the fish and turtles. It's a great place to get your walk in or explore with your little people. There are quite a few animals that call this place home. They are loose so you may or may not see them. Pack a lunch and enjoy the afternoon. This amazing park is free and there is free parking.

Went there for about 1 hour in March as part of a vacation. Needed to fill in time and decided to go here.

Not too big but can spend maybe 1 hour walking around.

Worth a quick trip if traveling by but wouldn't go out of the way to see it.

Right in the heart of the city is this natural oasis complete with a small museum, hiknig paths, picnic areas, feeding stations for fish and turtles. A great place to spend an afternoon and quite educational for young children. A nice way to get the whole fam away from screens fo a while!
