I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year, both times during a road trip across country. This is one of the nicest hotel chains! The room was very hip, modern, and spacious. It was clean with a great shower. I would stay here again and again if it was a place that I traveled to often. There is a fridge and extra sink area. The television is huge and there is a large vanity area. Everything was new. There was security in the parking lot in back. I had left my inside car light on by accident and when I ran out to shut it off, the security person was writing my license down to notify me! There are restaurants and gas next door. Even though it was a little way from the interstate it was well worth it!

My sister and I are in Tulsa regularly to care for an elderly aunt, and this is our regular place to stay. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, the hotel itself is clean and nicely decorated, and the layout of the double rooms is excellent for two people who don't share the same bed. The vanity is in the bed room, so one can be showering or using the toilet while another is using the sink. There is a refrigerator but no microwave, and the fridge is not very cold and does not have a freezer compartment, which brings my rating down a notch. There is a bar in the hotel with a somewhat limited but nevertheless adequate selection of drinks.

The location would not be very convenient if you are passing through Tulsa on an interstate, but if you need to be in the southern part of town, it's near just about everything.

I've stated it in other reviews, I travel a lot for business and I prefer to stay at Hyatt Place. No matter what town I'm in the room is familiar as well as the rest of the hotel. Well laid out and comfortable. All I can do is comment on the condition and location since all Hyatt Places are like this.

The hotel is in good condition. Everything worked and was clean. The desk staff was friendly. The location of this Hyatt Place is great. It's location gives you plenty of places to shop and eat.

The only negative thing I can say is that my room window faced a couple dumpsters and I was awakened by the trucks emptying them. Very noisy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the opposite side of the Sonic drive-in. That's where the early morning dumpst...

Daniel at the front desk is as good as it gets! He made us feel like as though we were checking into a 5-star hotel. The hotel lobby and rooms are sparkling clean and comfortable. Breakfast, while not terribly varied, is as advertised, continental. The breakfast service is as pretty as that of a much more expensive hotel. And that's the overall feel...that you are staying at a $200-a-night hotel.

Large trash trucks outside were not so marvelous, especially at 3:30 AM. Not sure if the hotel can do anything about this but it was certainly off-putting, being rudely awakened at that hour. Perhaps a different room location would have averted this problem.

That being said, however, we would stay here again in a heartbeat! This is a good deal for the money.

Stayed at Hyatt Place for nephews wedding on 11-11-11, what a great hotel! Staff could not be any better from front desk staff, morning free breakfast staff and maid service we found everyone gave us a smile. Ordered more coffee, coffee cups, etc. from front desk and within minutes of checking in all were delivered! Charlestons was recommended by front desk plus within walking distance, it was so good we went back (you have to beg them to stop bringing you ice tea and coffee refills). Room was large with 2 beds plus pull out sofa, fridge and very comfortable beds which were wonderful. Only issue was finding our way around Tulsa, GPS device's did not work, talked with many people with same problem. Tip: Just remember that this hotel is behind Sonic, Enterprise Car Rental Co. told us this helpful hint. Just ask front desk for directions before you go anywhere!

Room Tip: We like high floors, which have better view of area.

For the price range this Hyatt Place can't be beat. We've stayed at multiple Hyatt Place locations and this is one of the best and best run. Very helpful staff, quiet location, convenient to the aquarium, close to restaurants (we love Charlestons). We're particularly fond of the top floor. The Wi-Fi connection has always worked and performed well, something I can't say about some other Hyatt Place locations. In this day and age the whole family needs Wi-Fi so that's important. And we love being able to plug an iPhone into the TV so we can watch our own movies, music videos etc.

We enjoyed staying at the Hyatt very much. The room was quite large, with plenty of space to spread out. There were lots of spots to work or relax in the room - large couch with ottoman, nice desk and chair, comfy bed, etc. We liked the separate sink/vanity outside the bathroom. That made it easier for two of us to get ready at the same time. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The internet was easy to access and speedy, and the TV size and quality were great! The staff was very friendly at check-in, and we were offered two half-price drinks at the bar that evening. There were just two problems we encountered, neither of which would keep us from staying here again. First, when we checked in, we were surprised to find the bar literally merges into the check-in desk. While we were trying to check in, there was a very boisterous group at the bar, and it was hard to hear the desk attendant as were checking in. It was that loud. I would recommend a bit of a redesigned space in the lobby. Second, the breakfast area is entirely too small for the size of the hotel. The breakfast (complimentary cold items plus beverages/guests can purchase eggs if desired) items were set out in a tiny room where it was difficult to negotiate getting the items without running into other guests or the few tables there. Across the lobby were a few other tables, but again space was very limited, and some people were actually standing. When we were there, a high school field hockey team was getting breakfast, and it was nearly impossible to gain access to the food or to a place to sit. This hotel has six floors, and there is no way this small space can accommodate even half the possible guests. Perhaps offering a continental breakfast was an add-on later after the hotel was already designed. Aside from these two relatively minor issues, I'd recommend the Hyatt as a great place to stay in Tulsa.

Room Tip: The sixth floor was very quiet.
