“Great inexpensive hotel for the night”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

The F airfield Inn hotel brand has always been a super value in my opinion. I've stayed at several around the country and have always been vary pleased with them. On this occasion however there was one thing that i was not pleased with, its a minor thing but one none the less. The grip i have for this occasion was when i went to get some of the free breakfast, the orange juice machine was out of the orange juice syrup. I tried to get a glass of orange juice and it just didnt look right. I tasted it and it did not taste right either. I went to the front desk and asked "Is this what you call orange juice?" and the girl at the front desk said "Oh it must be out of syrup". I thought ok now she knows to do something about it, but she did nothing to correct the situation. I thought ok I'll come back in just a bit and get some orange juice, but it was still the same no syrup having water, so i had some apple juice instead. That was the only disappointment i had on this occasion thats why i deducted one star.

Having stayed 5 out the last 7 nights in Marriott properties, I expected something better than I got. Windows in the entrance and in the room were dirty - both inside and outside. Carpeting was old, as were the furnishings downstairs. Bed was totally acceptable. However, there was only a single place to plug in an electrical device. I ignored my own advice to stay on the top floor, and was penalized greatly for it. In the middle of the night, some dufus must have fallen out of the shower upstairs. BOOM! For the next 1/2 hour I could hear someone pacing the floor above. Breakfast was a joke. The buffet was out of eggs for 25 minutes - the period when we were eating. Sausage came out 15 minutes after we got there. Milk was frozen. Both trash containers were overflowing. The buffet person just did not care. Although this property is dated, good care could make it much better.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor so you can't hear the dufus below you fall out of the shower.

The manager is excellent. He helped us get in our rooms early. Breakfast was good and the rooms were well appointed. The rooms are adequate in size. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The location is excellent. Near the mall, Outback restaurant, etc. quiet.

I will leave the usual for/against comments to other reviewers. My stay on June 2nd will be memorable because 2 hours and 100 miles after checking out next morning I realised I had lost my wallet containing credit cards and driving licence. A frantic search of car and luggage turned up nothing. The invoice from my stay at the Fairfield Inn contained a phone number. My last resort phone call was met by a friendly and professional receptionist who informed me my wallet was in their safe. It had been found in my room by the (very honest) housekeeping lady.
Please stay at this hotel and, by the way, tip the housekeeping staff.

this place is straight average, clean, and quiet. Free wifi and breakfast, is a very nice touch, with free parking. Just dont expect anything special. The AC is a bit hard to work, but once you figure it out, you will be fine.

All aspects of this hotel are average. Rooms average, breakfast average. The staff was above average, they were friendly and caring. Addl breakfast items were nice, and food was re-filled fast. Close to highways for a quick escape.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have other hotels there, and very bright lights to contend with.
