“Serene & Wonderful!”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

The architecture of the outside AND inside of this church are just simply NOT to be missed! We were amazed! We weren't able to access entry via the front doors, so went around to the South doors where the administration offices are, and were told that we had permission to self-tour the church. The awesome organist was practicing, so the sounds of music coming through the awesome pipes in the sanctuary were just amazingly beautiful! Do NOT miss this attraction if visiting Tulsa! P.S. We also left a small donation.....not necessary, but good cause!

“Art Deco must see”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

We came to Tulsa specifically to see the Art Deco architecture and we were not disappointed. The highlight was the Methodist Church. What an amazing building and you are able to access all of the areas in the church. There are amazing details wherever you look. We did a self walking tour of all the historical buildings in the centre of Tulsa. You have access to a lot of the lobbies and you are able to take photos inside all the buildings except one.

“magnificent art deco building”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

This immense building, which was designed by a woman at a time when it was almost unheard of, is stunning. Stretching, it seems, right up to the sky, it can be seen from all over Tulsa. The figures carved outside include the Wesley family - it's altogether beautifully done. Inside you will get a warm welcome from a volunteer and be free to wander around. The mosaics and stained glass are beautiful, and the Sanctuary massive and impressive. Ignore the advice on one of the websites which says you can go to a viewing area on 14th floor - you can't.

“Art Deco Masterpiece”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

This 1920's church needs a guided tour to give you all the symbolism, which is repeated throughout the church. Dr. Adah Robinson, the Tulsa art professor who designed all the details in the 1920s, portrayed God's grace, Methodist leaders, Oklahoma wildflowers, and praying hands in the most unique way that you will ever see. Don't miss this famous church as you travel through Tulsa.
