“One of the best!”

One of the most beautiful locations in Tulsa. The artwork and historical artifacts are incredible and the restaurant is wonderful for Sunday brunch. You will want to allow a few hours to see everything. I have toured the Gilcrease 4 times and would like to again.

“Lots of History”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

My girls enjoy their visits to the Gilcrease, especially during the Funday Sunday (every second Sunday of the month) arts/crafts times. They also have fun looking at all of the artifacts and seeing all of the American West art and Native American exhibits.

“A fun educational place”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

We find the Gilcrease museum a great place to wander around and enjoy the art and culture of Native America plus art of the American West. The museum is located on the west side of Tulsa in a lovely hilly area. For younger people there is the Kravis center with drawers full of labeled Native American artifacts that are all cataloged in nearby computers.

“Great Native Artifact Collection”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

Don't miss the gardens - they're just beautiful!

Gilcrease houses a great collection of Native art, but personally, I love going to the basement, where they keep an archive of artifacts from different tribes. The collection is HUGE, so you may want to budget a couple of hours.

Also of note, a statue of Simon Bolivar in the front. I'm not sure what he's doing there, but my South American friends are always amazed to find a statue of him in Oklahoma.
