“Sculptures”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

Since we went on Easter, it was free (usually $8 per adult). There are a tremendous number of sculptures with many of them by Remington. Virtually every room had art on the walls and masks, Native headdresses, beaded clothing, and Native artifacts were a plenty. Beautiful flowers and some statuary outside was enjoyable. Another treat was a life mask of Abraham Lincoln and a cast of his hands (artist made them to use when painting Lincoln). Unfortunately, no photography (although I fully understand why) and a lack of any excellent postcards or books that truly captured what had been seen.

“Great museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

A great collection of American Indian and Old West art. A nice collection of artifacts as well; would take several days to see all of it. It is laid out very well to show the history of Oklahoma.

“Excellent showings of Native American art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Wonderful examples of Native American art including masks, beaded moccasins, feathered head pieces, and buffalo skins.

Very quiet somber place though there is a small hands on area for kids. They loved seeing a real totem pole!

“Taste of real Oklahoma Culture”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

If you enjoy Indian artifacts located in a beautiful country setting, you will certainly enjoy a visit to this museum. The restaurant also offers a pleasant place to enjoy a light lunch and enjoy the spring flowers. Some of the unique exhibits that are brought to the museum are certainly worth the drive to see.
