I had chosen this hotel as a midway stopping point for my day. I stopped at around 7pm on October 29 without a reservation. Online, the prices for the room were $95 and I asked for that rate. The front desk rep was rude and barely looked up from her computer. She said she could not give me that rate because the rate was $99 and she was not allowed to make any concessions. Odd, because I had stayed in Joplin, MO the day before and that Hampton Inn had been more than accommodating with my request. I asked if she could call and check to make the concession and she responded by saying "No, we've gotten into trouble for doing that". While I'm all for following the rules, I also work in the service industry and this young lady did not care if she filled a room for the hotel or not. Not once did she ask if I was a Hilton Honors member - which I am. I was so irritated, I left and drove 18 miles to another Hampton Inn who, interestingly, was happy to assist me with a room and the rate. I do hope the manager of this location reads this review and corrects this for future HH guests.More
