“Sweet, Nice, but need to work on the product”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

You cant beat the atmosphere. Tiny restaurant. Homesy decorating. Dude sitting out front greeting you. Workers kids running around. Absolutely sincere in saying eating here is like visiting a friend's kitchen. You are a guest and not a customer. Might be the best iced tea in the state. You haven't the real Oklahoma experience without stopping here. Bummer the BBQ is second tier - good, a nice meal, but neither a great value nor the highest quality.

“Go for lunch!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Waiting until dinner was our mistake as our friends worshipped their lunch menu. While the service was good, quite frankly our St Louis ribs were not "fall off the bone" quality but small and overall unsatisfactory. We did try the Buttermilk Pie, unfortunately it's excellent taste could not make up for the rest of this restaurants shortcomings.

“Good food, friendly people”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

I've had plenty of good barbecue, and Stutt's offers very good barbecue, indeed. Yes, the chopped beef is a bit fatty, but it's very flavorful. The ribs are a St. Louis cut, and they may not be the most tender cut, but they are packed with flavor. Their baked beans are top notch. Buttermilk pie is a definite yes, but if they have it, get the lemon cake. And most of all, the people who run the restaurant - including Mrs. Stutts herself - are some of the friendly people to ever operate a restaurant. I love this place.

“BUTTERMILK PIE!!”
Reviewed 5 May 2013

If you don't stop at this place for Buttermilk pie when you're in Tulsa, you're missing out on something really special. The area is not glamorous, the atmosphere is non-existent, but who cares! By the way, the barbecue is quite good, but the buttermilk pie rivals it, and it's the best I've ever tasted anywhere. That was before my wife managed to figure out the recipe!

“Fatty Chopped Beef”
Reviewed 8 August 2012

We usually go to Albert G's, but they are closed on Sundays. We stopped here based on good reviews on Urban Spoon. I guess most of the people who gave this place good reviews have never had good bar b q. There was so much fat in the chopped beef we threw it out. The ribs were tender, but they were so smoky they tasted burned. I hate to give bad reviews, but I would not go back and I can not recommend anyone else visit this place. There are several other bar b q places that are much better.
