I had complained that we were not given any special consideration for our anniversary in August. This past weekend we stayed for my birthday and we were upgraded to excecutive level, treated to dinner and received a fruitplate upon arrival. Every thing was great. Thanks to manager James Cunningham and front desk manager Scott Baumann. We always reserve a corner room for size and brighter room. The contnetal breakfast was more of a real breakfast with bacon and eggs. We had a great stay. This has always been my favorite hotel in Tulsa and now it is even more so. Thanks to all involved.
As always hosting you at our property is our pleasure! All comments from our guests enable us to provide better service and get better at what we do. We particularly thank you for the special recognition to our associates by name. We can't wait to see you in the future!
Stayed for one night. Location is great, close to lots of shopping/eating. Rooms/lobby very clean. Got it on Priceline for very cheap, so definitely worth the $$. Great walking trail around hotel, to walk off breakfast buffet, which was fresh and clean.
My only complaint was that the walls to the rooms were very thin. Other guests coming and going until around 3am. They were actually talking quietly in their rooms and in the hallways, and I could hear them as if the door was wide open. The guy next to us started talking on the phone about 7am (again not loudly) but I could hear every word he said.
First, thank you for taking time to review our property, at the Doubletree at Warren Place we strive to ensure all guests are satisfied with their stay. Comments from our guests enable us to provide better service and enable us to meet our goal. We are sorry that you had a negative experience with noise from other guests during your recent stay. We will continue to follow up and watch for similar comments in the future to alleviate this type of disturbance. We thank you for brining this to our attention.
As you mention we strive to keep all area of the hotel spotless and clean and offer a great breakfast buffet. We are pleased that enjoyed the offerings of the surrounding restaurants and shops. The park setting and proximity to shopping and great food makes our location idea for travelers.
Thanks again for sharing your comments and we look forward to your return in the near future!
I wish I had more time to spend here in Tulsa but being on business and airport delays I had 2 nights at the Double Tree. After my ordeal at the airlines I was greeted with a warm cookie really made me feel better! :) None the less room was excellent (Bed was comfy) and very cleanly as well as downstairs by the hotel. Wish I had more time to explore.
We stayed at the Doubletree for two nights. The personnel were friendly and helpful (kudos especially to D.J., Gus, and Steve). The room was clean and cool, the beds comfy; our room was high and looked out to the NW onto a hillside covered with trees and lovely flowering plants. Yale Avenue was undergoing repair and made getting into the hotel a bit 'dicey.' We found it a lot better to enter off 61st Street. The location of the Doubletree is excellent for events and places in south Tulsa, but you might not want to stay there for events downtown. We really enjoyed the Starbucks in the lobby; Pam was most helpful and made great lattes. MaryEtta in the lobby bar made great drinks. All in all, it was a terrific experience and we were glad we stayed there.
They could not give us a non smoking room for our 5 night stay, even though the hotel did not seem full at all. The room reeked of smoke. No free internet in the rooms, and impossible to get internet in the lobby like they said. The parking is very far from the room. You have to take an elevator, then walk a long distance across the lobby, then up another elevator. Very inconvenient. The staff made a rude comment about my "Priceline" price and basically told me that I got what I deserved for booking through them. I feel that they should not have agreed to the price if they didn't want my business. This is my 3rd trip to Tulsa and my previous trips were with lower class hotels which were much better and more enjoyable stays.
We make every effort to honor all guest requests. Unfortunately due to the deep discount Priceline does not guarantee a room type and during the time of the guest’s stay there was only smoking available. We have checked our records and have not been able to locate any reports of internet service issues in the public areas of the hotel. We do charge for internet access in the guest rooms, as do most full service hotels in the market and our high speed internet rates are priced competitively. Comments from our guests enable us to provide better service. We appreciate the reviewer’s comments.
