This is a bakery run by a Mom and Pop, Donuts are made old school and they look it. The donuts are very big and very fresh. The only down side is it's cash only

“Cinnamon Rolls!”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

These were the best cinnamon rolls I've had in a long time. The lady that waits on you is a little hard of hearing, so you have to get her attention. It's worth it, though. 3 bucks for two large rolls!

“Melt In Your Mouth Tender And Fresh”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

After a drab lunch experience, I was determined to find something to turn our "Road Trip Day" back to happiness. We were cruisin' through Bandon from end to end, trying to see what had changed since the last time we had been there. It was past 4pm, so I was surprised when I saw the Wigwam Bakery with their door wide open and the OPEN sign displayed. Bakeries where I have lived usually close early unless they do specialty orders.
It was cool and dim when we entered, then our eyes adjusted and we saw that there were trays filling every glass case, plus trays on top. There was entire case dedicated solely to cookies that were about 4 inches across. It was so tough to decide.
There is a little bit of a time warp. The man and woman give the impression they may have invented sugar, and it was delightful to see the well-cared for equipment in use under the man's steady hands. It is easy to imagine that such items as the ones they have in their shop may never have been seen in use by many. The techies of today wouldn't know what to do with the old register, but it works! I advise pointing to your selections and holding up your fingers as you speak, because she seems to be slightly hearing impaired and the machines are humming on her side of the counter.
We chose two pudding-filled round Bismarks and two buttermilk crullers with a hot cup of coffee. We took it to go and went to the little glass house at the Bandon dock near old town. We ate the creamy Bismarks first, with sips of fresh, hot coffee between. The pudding/cream was super thick, luscious and satisfying. I thought it would be tough to top it, but the buttermilk cruller was the freshest and most tender I have ever eaten, and I have eaten WAY too many donuts in this life.
Thank you, Wigwam.
We enjoyed the sweet snack, and yes, we will be back.

“Tasty!”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

We went expecting a fast-food bakery but were surprised to find an actual bakery where they do everything themselves. Owners are the bakers and you can tell they have been at it a very long time. Just remember to bring cash or checks. No credit cards accepted.
