Room was absolutely spotless and the view was a million-dollar one! Literally sits on the cliff overlooking the beach and has (we felt, on the next day), a MILLION steps down to the beach! Worth the sore leg muscles the next day - the tide was exceptionally low and we found clam-crusted rocks, caves to explore, seagulls to dodge, and - something we'd never seen - purple, orange and red starfish! Lots of beach to explore and wonderful soothing sound to fall asleep. Price was excellent. This small business hotel could use a bit of updating in décor, but we found absolutely nothing to complain about and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Room Tip: Views from all floors are of the ocean and/or beach and have a little porch out the "back door...

Came in the early evening and Jeannie was wonderful, kind and accommodating! Absolutely beautiful location overlooking the ocean. Bandon was magical in mid October. The autumn lighting, the gorgeous sunsets were spectacular!

Room Tip: It didn't seem like there were any bad rooms as all three sides of the motel faced the ocean!!

My boyfriend and I came for a three day weekend. We had no reservation and found this lovely place. The owner showed us three rooms at 3 prices. They were so nice!! The motel was close to old town and had a magnificent beach. We would definitely come again!!!

No doubt the views are as good as all the reviewers and photos will have you believe, but unfortunately that's where it ends. We had the most expensive corner room with great views, but the room and the whole building is really run down. There's nothing 'rustic' about it. The bed and furniture badly needs replacing, the bathroom is very small with cheap basic toiletries and there's just a couple of disposable cups provided. The view is great but there's a network of public walkways right outside the window so privacy is minimal with the blinds open. Disappointing, especially for the price.

Yes, the location of the motel is great and it's clean, however, the building and the room furnishings are extremely tired. And the room smelled so strongly of fabric softener and some kind of room deodorant that I just couldn't wait to leave. It was awful!

Pick this place if you are looking for a great view, and really nice, helpful owners and great customer service. We chose a small, upstairs room with one picture window. It has a great view of the ocean. You can hear it. The room is not fancy, and there is no pool or spa. It has everything you need, though, including a coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator. There is a great beach right there. I considered a balcony room, but we chose the smaller room with the picture window because it looks straight out at the ocean with the towering rocks.

I want to give the Bandon Beach Motel a 5 star review, I really do. The hotel is perched on the bluff above one of the most scenic spots on the beautiful Oregon Coast. The views are absolutely stunning. Our particular room was on the corner with a sweeping view.

However, the firnishings and decor in the unit are badly outdated, and I'm not talking shabby chic. The rug was worn, bedspread really tattered, and they was no seating area beyond an elevated table.

The I hope that you have a really nice Monday. is operated by a super friendly family and our service was superb. Other reviews are correct, it is nostalgic and reminiscent of places I stayed with my parents in the early 70s. I only wish they could update their rooms, some paint, updated furnishings, and perhaps artwork would do wonders, and they could charge another $100 per night ... Sorry, we will be back, but now I know what to expect. :-)
