“Outstanding Location, Adequate Lodging”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

Recently stayed at this motel and the location cannot be beat. The views are amazing and the beach is great. Access to the beach is down a long set of stairs so be prepared for some exercise. The motel itself is in adequate shape, room and bathroom were clean and the bed was decent. Had two dogs with us and their pet rates were reasonable. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome at this establishment. This motel is not much to look at from the outside but overall experience was good. Would stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed our two night stay at this lovely motel located right on the cliffs above the ocean. We stayed in room 201 and the view was spectacular. This is a no-frills place (no breakfast) - but very clean and the rooms have been renovated. The room was very comfortable and it has a small balony (large enough for two chairs). We will definitely stay here again. A hidden gem.

Room Tip: Room 201 has a great view.

We only stayed one night here as part of our roadtrip in Oregon and Washington. We left early in the morning and so did not have much contact with the staff, but those we met were very friendly and helpful. While not a particularly attractive building from the outside, our room was large and clean. Unfortunately it was too cold and wet (even in August) for us to enjoy our balcony.

The couple who live on-site (I guess the owners?) were outstandingly helpful, letting me use the restroom in their apartment immediately upon arrival and carrying the bags for this aging couple up the stairs to the second floor. Also provided good restaurant suggestions and a fully stocked complimentary coffee/tea bar. (However, be aware that the office is locked after hours and until 7 a.m., so don't expect a cuppa if you are an early riser.) Our corner room was spartan in decoration but spacious, very clean, with a nice fireplace. Bed was comfy. Of course what we paid for was the view and worried it might be foggy in December, but it delivered. As shown, there is a tall table in the corner, but a nice comfy sofa would have been appreciated to sit and enjoy. It was too chilly for us to sit out on the balcony for long, but beautiful. However, the above average price for a nice motel was more than worth it once you stroll just a few steps away behind the hotel to Coquille Point, part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. You can stroll the cliff path for a breath-taking panorama or use the rather steep stairs to go down to the beach.

Room Tip: Corner room on second floor is stunning if you will be in the room long enough to linger at the tabl...

Having stayed at the Bandon Beach motel a few years ago, we looked forward to the same quality and exceptional views as before.
Our priority was a pet friendly motel and the Bandon Beach motel definitely meets that criteria, though at a cost of $15.
The room this time 108, was half the size of our previous room, though there were only (2) other rooms rented, It reminds us to always ask for the best room available, as it never hurts to try. The ocean views, sounds and short distance to both the trails and beach are appreciated.
The rooms are beginning to show some age, wear and tear, and the lack of some basic amenities (hair dryer) is regrettable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and we only hope this family owned and operated business will consider upgrades to further enhance the overall experience they have to offer their visitors.

We stayed in a beautifully appointed room with a million dollar view of the Pacific and the Oregon coastline. The place was white glove clean, and had a nice comfortable hot tub on the deck just outside of the room. We didn't want to leave but were discussing plans to return as we drove away. We have already told our friends about it, some are making plans for their own visit.

Room Tip: They have a few corner rooms that have windows facing the water affording an even better view.
