“Amazing location, wonderful staff”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

I booked a room for our family for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago and we were put in room 200. It had a very nice view and a little private balcony. Everything worked as it should and the room was very comfortable.

The staff were amazing, and we spent some time chatting it up with Lisa, one of the owners and she is by far the most upbeat, helpful hotel managers I have met in a long time. Everyone had a positive attitude and a great spirit, which is nice to see.

- You stay at this motel for the location. It simply cannot be beat. The views are extraordinary and the sound of the ocean waves and the shore birds at night will put you to sleep.

- This motel is not the Ritz Carleton or some high class Hilton. It is a quaint but simple family run establishment that focuses on comfort and making sure you have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It doesn't have gold plated door handles or travertine tile floors. Don't expect room service or a butler to cater to your every whim. It is just right for a family on a budget or a single photographer looking for an affordable place next to prime ocean real estate to photograph.

- There are no phones in the room. I asked Lisa about this and she said that they tried for a long time to set up a phone system for the guest rooms but the telecom company couldn't wire them in or something like that. So bring a cell phone. You are welcome to use the office phone at the main desk.

- There is no restaurant on site, but there are a couple places in Bandon that do deliver and there are quite a few restaurants. The motel does offer free coffee in the main office and coffee makers in the rooms.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and like I said the location can't be beat. It may be cheap in price but by no means is this a "cheap" motel. The owners and staff take pride in their motel and they do their best to accommodate their guests.

You will not regret staying here. But if you are some rich CEO that demands Egyptian cotton bedsheets and a personal butler to cater to your every need, look elsewhere. This motel is for people who want a warm, comfortable place to stay near spectacular scenery. Families, this means you.

When we go back to Bandon, I will not stay anywhere else but here. :-)

Room Tip: 2nd floor gives you excellent views of the ocean. There are no elevators, so if you have a lot of st...

Our family stayed here on the last leg of our Spring Break trip. My parents had room 204- two queen beds, balcony, and lovely view. We were in room 210- one queen, fireplace, and an excellent view. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, and housekeepers were consistently working hard. This place is a mix of new and old, updated and low key. The stairs to the beach are sturdy and well maintained, and the tidepools we found there were the best we saw our whole trip. I would recommend this place to stay in an instant; it's a fantastic deal for the view and price alone. We will absolutely be returning.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our room 106 (but also see 206) at Bandon Beach Motel. We were there in late Sept/early Oct. I completely agree with the recent reviews by raiders 110, redanman, and Travel_Buff29, especially their comments about the clean, comfortable rooms, the helpful staff, and the great location overlooking the beach, The terrific giant boulders and wonderful lighting made the evening beach walks spectacular!

Room Tip: Rooms 106 and 206 are on the corner nearest the ladder down to the beach and have great views. If t...

This motel is off the beaten path from old downtown but it is well worth the drive. The beds have the most comfortable blankets and linens. You hear the ocean waves without the windows open. It can get cold and windy, you are on the bluff, but I would not stay anywhere else in this town.

Room Tip: The owner helps you get the best room. They only deal over the phone.

Old, but in a cool kitschy sorry of way. The nice view shown is room 206 which my friend reserves, I got 205 with a less panoramic but still beautiful view. A pleasant trip back to a motel in a 1970 spectacular setting.

The rooms have a gorgeous view from them. There is a beautiful beach right below the motel as well as nice walking trails. There are many rock formations on this beach. The sunset that we saw was stunning and one to remember. It made our Christmas Night. The rooms are clean and cute. The staff was nice and helpful.
