“Great Place to stay !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2014

We stayed here December 3rd and 4th 2013. Stayed in the Anniversary Room. Was really surprised by the charm of the room ! We had booked the room as we like to take in the sight's at Shore Acre's Christmas light display ! The 2013 Year DIDN'T DISAPPOINT ! Something you just have to see and experience to appreciate. This year they even had 3D glasses in differnt design's example....snowflake's, Christmas Bulb's, Santa..etc... when you put the glasses on every bulb you look at looks like the design on the glasses.

We stayed at Table Rock Motel over Thanksgiving with two adults and two children and our dog. Location is very good as you walk out and are essentially on top of the cliffs overlooking the beach and famed sea stacks, with beach access right outside. A paved walking trail going to Cocquille Point is also right outside which allows plenty of opportunity to walk your canine companion. Access to many landmarks of the southern Oregon coast is easily within driving range.

The motel has both rooms and cottages available and we stayed in a weathered-looking cottages, which was very quaint, think 1950s beach cabin. There was no ocean view unfortunately. The floors and windows looked recently redone, and the beds seemed pretty new as well. Everything was very clean. The cabin was also quite tiny, with two small bedrooms, a small kitchen, and not exactly a lot of storage. The kitchen was perfectly functional though, or at least was until the oven broke. The owner kindly let us use the oven in another unit. All kitchen utensils, pots and pans and so on looked new. I think the bathroom could use some overhaul, everything worked but was well-worn.

Overall for the money a rather enjoyable stay, and recommended if you can deal with accommodations with some character. Cable (watched on a tiny TV) and free internet were included.

It is true, our cottage rooms were built in 'the old days'. We are often doing upgrades and renovations in these rooms, as time permits. Each room's cleanliness is important to us, but also, we hope to provide above and beyond the necessary amenities, to help our customers really enjoy their stay. We try to offer something for everybody. Some enjoy our cottages for their 'nostalgic' or 'reminiscent' character. We also offer our new, modern rooms, for those with a different set of tastes. Oh, by the way, the oven has been repaired with a new heating element, and now, the room also includes a 32-inch flat-screen TV ... this is our latest renovation in many of our rooms.

Bandon is a charming beach town, and the Table Rock Motel fits right into the town's friendly vibe. Located perhaps a mile or so from the town center, the motel is in a residential area surrounded by private homes. It's only a few steps from your room to a city park and pathway that meanders along the top of the bluffs overlooking the ocean. However, it's a fair hike down to the beach. Our room was homey and spacious, with two queen beds, a sitting area, mini fridge, etc. Only complaint was that our bed had only a thin cotton blanket and things got a bit chilly during our December visit. I'm guessing there were extra blankets in a drawer or someplace, but we were too sleepy to find them. Friendly staff, clean rooms, fair price - recommended if you're in the area.

We are so sorry to discover you felt chilly in the bed. We certainly do have extra blankets, and we are glad to supply these types of things, so that your stay with us should be pleasant in all ways. For any of our guests who have needs, they are welcome to call to have our manager bring what they need. Although our weather was fairly cold during recent weeks, our coastal location provides a moderate climate. So then, Bandon is a great place to go, if you want to get away from temperature extremes (really cold or really hot inland temperatures).

This motel has wonderful rooms that are impeccably clean. The owner goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and the location provides quick access to the amazing Bandon beach. 5 stars from me and I will be returning.

We chose the Inspiration room, which was beautifully decorated and so clean, we thought it was new. Felt as thought we were in someone's home, with pergo flooring throughout, beautiful throw rugs, large bathroom with tile floors, lovely bedding with matching throw pillows and extremely comfortable beds. Patio had an adorable wood table and the chairs were inside the room, apparently to keep them clean, as they certainly were! There was a large selection of glasses, mugs, even wine glasses and opener. Also, a broom and dustpan were in the room in case we brought in sand, etc., and didn't want to live with it (I guess). The office had auto window washing supplies, as well as additional supplies such as towels, tea, coffee, bandaids and first aid kit. They welcomed us to fill up our ice chest with the ice machine or extra ice in the office. I've never been more impressed with a motel for only $84. Even the staircase, which appeared to be cement, had a wood grain texture. The owners definitely added special touches to everything and care about the comfort and accommodations for their guests. We would certainly recommend and return on our next trip.

In the new section of our motel, rooms are spacious and they are designed with modern architecture. Many of these rooms also include intriguing artwork. The Inspiration Room is filled with mind-stimulating, artful words. Inside and out, the building has many great features, and we are thrilled with peoples' reactions. Artful themes are part of the experience in some of our older-style rooms, as well. The room-design can be part of the fun and joy of coming here to stay. It is an honor to serve the many people who enjoy our accommodations and room decor; our commitment is to serve you in many little details (ice, clean-up supplies and more); we provide these for you because we care.

If you like chintz curtains, candlewick and homey rugs, this place is for you. I found it cluttered, with a clumpy bed, worse pillows, but excellent bedside lighting (a rare thing in roadside motels), a big fullsize oven etc, not sure quite why, as I can't imagine it ever being more than a one night stopover.

The consideration for travelers is there though - windscreen washing etc - but despite being on the cliff top there's no view of the amazing sea and beach below because of other buildings.

I booked this motel on the basis of it's reviews, and in particular comments like "beachfront" which I find bizarre, as being quoted as beachfront is a wee bit of a misnomer - it's a hell of a lot of steps down a staircase to the "beach". Clifftop, not beachfront. And no view. Stretching the truth a little too far...

Sadly, my biggest gripe is that it's a couple of miles to the village where one can find a restaurant or a bar. And that's just too far! Especially when one is spoilt for choice of hotel & motels in the village.

It's always helpful to discover how people perceive our motel, especially when their only influence for choosing to stay here comes from our web content (including what is said by our reviewers). We appreciate every comment, as they can help us "fine-tune" our amenities. Thank you for honest and frank words. ... Our motel is located on a cliff-top. Some rooms have an ocean view, and if you want a panoramic view of the ocean from within your motel room, we do not offer that. Buildings nearby are partially or totally blocking the view (depending on the room). We try our best to help you find a room that suits you. ... Each motel offers something special. We offer care and comfort, with close proximity to the ocean. It amounts to many conveniences, and yet, we are so sorry we cannot suit the tastes of every person. As for choices of motels in Bandon, ours is certainly worth considering whenever you happen to visit our town.

This place is in an excellent location right on the ocean. The views vary but you travel to see stuff, not hang out in your room. Our room was immaculate, very clean, great kitchenette, comfy bed. The owner has extra supplies in the office at your disposal and car cleaning supplies and is very encouraging to help yourself. It is only a short drive to downtown Bandon for food.

We want our guests to feel "at home", and so "help yourself" to ice, extra spoons or forks, sugar packets, towels and etc. Of course, we offer so much more than that, as you have so aptly described. ... I love your comment, "you travel to see stuff ...". There is so much to see, here on the south coast of Oregon. Some great views are within walking distance, and if you have time to hike into the hills, the variety of wildflowers, waterfalls, wild berries, tall trees and mountain viewpoints can keep your curiosity aroused for days on end ... and that only scratches the surface of all there is to do around here.
