“Great Chinese Food”
Reviewed 22 May 2012

We have found a great Chinese place in Beaverton Oregon. The Dim Sum is ok but not as good as China Town but the Broccoli beef and lemon chicken was fantastic. Very large portions and great for large groups and large families. The servers were very polite and super fast. They have a very large menu and everything we have ordered family style has been very good.

“Fantastic!!!”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

You can't go wrong with Jin Wah Restaurant, as it is the best Chinese food in the area. And they have lunch specials that includes your entree, soup and rice/noodles. And their Hot & Sour soup is to die over....

“Lucky me--I live nearby!”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

It took me a while to stumble across this place and try it. I regret my delay in finding it. Some may be wary of a restaurant that serves two cuisines (Chinese and Vietnamese), but this place makes it all work nicely.

I've visited for dinners from the big menu, and I've done the rolling Chinese dim sum carts at lunch and on the weekends. I recommend both dinners and dim sum. Here's some quick advice for a dim sum outing. Go with a group, if possible, so that you can try many different things. Often, there is a wait for tables on the weekend because dim sum is traditionally a great social and family outing for Chinese families. But this place is huge. You can order soups or a rice dish from the menu and then pick and choose from the dumplings and steamed buns and small dishes as the carts roll by. Selections tend to be most numerous on the weekend. Kids tend to like the idea of pointing and having instant food to try. Dim sum restaurants are traditionally family-oriented places and noisy.

The regular menu is definitely worth a exploration on a weekday evening. The waiters will clarify what's Vietnamese and what's Chinese, if you are curious. Some of the squid and Dungeness crab dishes are really outstanding. Easy parking--the restaurant is in a shopping center.
