“Great location, great bed”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

Can't beat this location for visiting downtown Bend as well as jumping onto Century Drive to head up the mountain. As usual with HIlton, the bed and pillows were top notch. I could skip the continental breakfast buffet (unless you want a waffle which are always fresh as you make them yourself), and ask for a lower room rate instead. There's lots of break breakfast spots in Bend. Service was excellent and the warm cookie at check in was a nice touch.

Thank you for chosing the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bend, we appreciate your business.

We are currently working on upgrading and improving our breakfast options. One of my favorites, is our addition of crepes and a make your own yogurt bar.

We look forward to serving you in the future

Fabulous hotel in downtown Bend with comfortable rooms, nice breakfast, shuttle service to Mt Bachelor, and friendly and accommodating staff. Walking distance to all the downtown Bend restaurants and shops. Great property for winter snow skiing groups.

If you want to be downtown, this is where you want to stay. Nice rooms, some with great views. Very nice breakfast in the morning. Free parking and internet are included in the per night cost. We walked to our meetings and to restaurants for lunch and dinner so we didn't have to get in the car, which was nice.

Great room and location easy access to downtown area and not to far from ski resort. Full bar and buffet breakfast available. If you require a gym this hotel only has a fitness closet but that aside I would recommend this hotel. The warm cookie was also a special touch Enjoy your stay

The Double Tree in downtown Bend is a great find! The rooms have been recently updated, the staff is attentive and friendly, and downtown Bend with it's great restaurants, shops and entertainment is at your back door. My king suite consisted of two rooms. A large living room includes a sofa and flat screen TV, a kitchenette with microwave, sink and mini fridge and large granite counter area plus a breakfast table and two chairs. An L-Shaped corner desk offers plenty of room to spread out and really work. \ The bedroom, although quite cozy, contained a very comfortable king size bed, five pillows and nightstands with lamps with plug ins in the bases and an IDock clock radio. There's a bar on the ground floor and a dining area where the complimentary breakfast is served, including hot items such as potatoes and bacon or sausage, cold cereals, pastries, toast, bagels, yogurt and more. I understand they have room configurations ranging from two queens to large suites with balconies and/or spa tubs. The only thing lacking is a decent fitness facility - only a few pieces of equipment are there now, but the manager says a new fitness location is planned within the hotel with new cardio and weight training equipment to be added later in 2014. I will definitely stay her again on my next trip to Bend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any and everyone.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms on the back side of hotel have views of downtown Bend.

This is a nice hotel with excellent staff. I have been using this hotel since 2007 and have consistently had good experiences. However, the conversion of the breakfast area to include a "bistro" has resulted in a very cramped and noisy facility. When I attempted to use the adjacent 'overflow' room that has apparently been made available for breakfast, I was forced to leave when a large group showed up and began moving tables to set up for their scheduled meeting. The bistro itself is entirely too small and cramped. The adjacent room should not be rented out for meetings. Instead, it should only be available for those using the bistro and breakfast facilities. I will be using an alternate hotel until the bistro is improved.
