My husband and I stayed at this park and it's really nice to have the lake and the Deschutes channel right there. We had a great time mountain biking, fishing, and kayaking there but be warned...don't plan on doing laundry there. Their laundry facility is horrible and 2 of the 3 washers didn't work (one only worked on warm and cold but not hot although it did put out hot water when on warm and the other didn't ring my clothes in the spin cycle so everything was very wet). They washing machines are really old and the paint chips off onto your clothes when you close the lid. The dryers are very old too and they get soooo hot that they almost burn your clothes. It shrank a sweatshirt that I've had for years. Steve (not sure if he's the owner, manager, etc.) came to fix the washers and I asked him why they don't buy new ones and he said because they cost $1500 and we don't make any profit. I said perhaps they shouldn't even offer a laundry room b/c they certainly don't take care of it. I stayed at that rv park b/c it was on the lake and they ahd laundry facilities and although we may stay there again, I will most definitely not plan on doing any laundry this time around.

We have been to Twin Lakes Resort many times during the last three years and can't think of another place we would like to be. First of all, the staff is very friendly, helpful and accomodating. It's like a home away from home. The food in the restaurant is incredible, they offer daily and weekly specials that are out of this world! People travel from all over just to enjoy a meal. It is very obvious to us that the owners and staff work very hard to make sure that everyone has a nice time. They have a store that is open 7 days a week - you should never run out of anything! They also carry everything a fisherman needs. You can fish from the shore, rent a boat or bring your own! To us, it is a very upscale camping experience - comfort of a nice bed as opposed to the cold, hard ground, a hot shower, beautiful scenery, nice clean air, who could ask for more?

It was a rough trip in October of 2007 when we ended up at Twin Lakes Resort for 1 night. I'd been feeling poorly, we'd been rained and snowed on for days, and we really needed a place to sleep without tenting it for a night.

Upon the recommendation of another resort run by the same family further north we booked cabin 16 at twin lakes. The tiny lakeside cabin was absolutely grubby. The sheets were gritty, the mattresses lumpy. The "bathroom" was a TINY shower and toilet with a fan fold door separating it from the room and no ceiling, no privacy at all.

They were preparing to close for the season, and we enjoyed the sound of the 5 horsepower pressure washer throughout the afternoon as they cleaned the rental boats directly in front of our cabin. We also enjoyed the large puddle of muddy water that collected directly in front of the cabin as a result of all this activity.

The proprietor was certainly friendly, his helper was acommodating enough to attempt to drain some of the water away without success, and the lack of inventory in the store was understandable considering the lateness of the season, but for $60 we really felt we could have done better.
