Coming from the midwest, any mountain in the west is always a great time simply because of large runs and large amounts of snow. However, this resort stood out to me specifically because it was not overcrowded and lines were very smooth and efficient, compared to resorts I had been to in Colorado, and I went on weekends only. The one downside is the concessions are outrageously overpriced, especially for college budget skiers like myself, but thats becoming standard at resorts. Other than that, beautiful resort, large mountain with plenty of areas to explore, and a terrain park for all difficulties (I'm no good so it was nice to have easy jumps/rails). Highly recommended. Helpful staff.

Tried for a week and half with 5 messages, 3 online reservations to confirm the sunset dinner. Never received a confirmation via phone or email as stated. There is not direct line, they just give you the recording. Had visitors that really wanted to enjoy this experience.

C'mon Bachelor...I know you can do better than this!

Had a great time here last week! Got here about mid day and rode the chair lift up to the restaurant for a bite to eat followed by a visit with the sled dogs and a ride on the golf cart attached to the sled dogs and a nice walk around the facility. Had we more time then a round of Frisbee golf or a downhill mountain bike run would have been in order but overall a great afternoon and a lot of fun! Not crowded at all!

While gathered for a family reunion get-together at nearby Sunriver, we decided to visit Mount Bachelor. We took the ski lift up the mountain. The staff at the top of the lift volunteered to take a series of photos of our multi-family visit. After watching several Mountain Bikers (with lots of protective gear) take off down the bike trails, we headed for the lodge. There, we met up with a Forest Service Volunteer Guide (and his Golden Labrador assistant) who proceeded to give us a very interesting and informative talk about the geologic history of the old and new Cascade Mountains. Lots of spectacular Wilderness Area scenery to view, but not much else since all the shops etc. in the lodge were closed. Do carry a sweater or light jacket as it can get cool when (not if) the wind starts to kick up.

We took the ski lift up to the station for a fantastic view. Be sure to take a light jacket or sweatshirt, even in July the temps can be cool at the top. A ranger talk informs you of the area. There is a restaurant at the top, or outside tables to eat your picnic lunch. Dog sled rides (on wheels) are at the base near the ticket center and gift shop.
