The appointments in the hotel were outstanding, the beds were most comfortable, the service staff were more than friendly, helpful and courteous - nice does not even begin to describe them. The attention to detail throughout the day and entire stay - from the delicious food, coffee in the morning, ice water in the afternoon, cookies for snacks, dark chocolate at turn down service, availability of an exercise room, sauna, steam room and laundry room to the most accommodating staff- were most inviting and not overly bearing but even present. The rooms were very tastefully done, the bathrooms were spacious and most clean, the bath products were luxurious including but not limited to the personal products or elegant robe. The hotel was quiet yet right in the middle of downtown Bend where shopping and dining as well as salon services were only minutes from the front door. I would highly recommend this hotel and without reservation.

Room Tip: I had a king size bed with a room that was on the corner and overlooking Minnesota.I was on the seco...

Absolute perfection! We stayed in a Terrace Suite which was located right over the entrance of the hotel, with a balcony that ran the entire length of the suite. From the appearance of the room, to the attentiveness of the staff, this place rocks! We were traveling with our niece and she slept on the sofa sleeper, which was very comfortable... Not your usual lumpy sleeper! The location is also perfection... right downtown Bend and close to great restaurants and shops. We did not eat at 10below, but had a drink there, and it was lovely! Next time... This will be our go to place in Bend!

Room Tip: Terrace Suite over the front entrance of the hotel... loved it...

It was my first time visiting Bend and wanted to stay in a nice place and not a chain hotel, so even though this property is expensive, it was worth it for the 2 nights I stayed.
Remington is the resident and greeter dog, that in it self was a winning detail for me.
I booked a deluxe king room and it was specious and nicely decorated, my favorite was the soak in tub and organic bath products.
Walking distance from shops and restaurants, if I go back to Bend, I will come back to the Oxford.

Our second time at the Oxford, and just as welcoming and comfortable. This time, stayed in room 405, a "junior king" suite. More like a roomy 1 bedroom apartment, with a full sized sectional sofa and kitchen in one room, and a bedroom with a nice-sized bathroom. Plenty of room for luggage, etc.

The best elements, in no particular order -
-- VERY QUIET. We were initially concerned that our room door was right next to the elevators. But did not hear a peep from that direction. Also no noise from guests above, below or on either side. Same last time. Well-built. Only noise is from the street, which is mainly people walking and talking - no heavy traffic (although why garbage trucks pick up at 5 am on Memorial Day is beyond me...)
-- Refined, modern design (stainless, wood, etc.)
-- Balcony overlooking Minnesota Street (and the Cascades, if on 4th floor or higher) (not all rooms have balconies - ask for one)
-- Excellent and genuinely friendly and helpful staff, whether for directions, hiking ideas, or other needs
-- Amazing fitness center with very new equipment and an AWESOME view. But with all the outdoor activities, who really needs a fitness center?
-- 2 blocks from the Deschutes River and the trail along it

Couple of other notes -

-- can valet or self park. Self park is easy on weekends, very close and no fee.
-- try the hotel bikes for a ride on the river or to one of the MANY coffee shops
-- can walk to many excellent restaurants that stack up with big-city places (Ariana, for example)
-- Bend is a hiker's paradise - get out on the trails! Or bike or paddle or fish or do all of it!
-- I rate this high value compared to bigger city hotels of similar quality. I am sure there are less expensive places in Bend. But when staying here, you'd be hard pressed to feel like it's not of value
-- the restaurant/bar serves good food and good room service, and reasonably priced drinks that you can take up to your room. But with so many good restaurant options in Bend, do venture out.

We usually aren't "city" fans, but Bend's size and the Oxford's polish and warmth makes this a perfect weekend get-away.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor with a balcony (although we have stayed on the second floor and enjoyed the s...

This was our second year of visiting Bend and our second year staying at the Oxford. Night time arrival was made warm and inviting with the ever-present Bell staff. Uber comfortable beds (locally made and eco friendly), topped off with a Pillow Menu. Start the morning with in-room French Press & locally roasted coffee. '
Did not use room service but located on the lower level is a fun and swanky restaurant/bar "10 below". Nice atmosphere and fun original concoctions.
The true gem is the staff, particularly the Bell staff. Helpful, cheerful and sincerely want you to enjoy your stay. Special thank you to Steve, from helping with early season mtn bike trails, hints for enjoying Mt Bachelor to shopping to coffee houses and Bends best Brew Pubs. Steve and all of the Bell staff are world class.
