There are some great elements of this home. It sleeps a lot of people, has a spacious loft, and has a great deck that feels really private. On the other hand, when you walk in you are greeted by a strong smoke smell (closing the chimney flue didn't seem to help), one of the burners on the stove didn't work, the water/ice in the fridge door didn't work, and one of the big beds had no sheets (and it took multiple calls to get sheets). One of the supports in the patio umbrella had broken and when we looked closer, we could see it had happened earlier and been taped to try to fix it. It didn't bother me, but it did bother others in my group that the master bathroom has a semitransparent window covering that allows people outside to see that you are sitting on the toilet at night when the light is on (they tested it). The house was apparently updated this year, but it still has somewhat of a dated feel - they opted for carpeted bathroom floors which is a little weird and the surface is coming off the toilet seat. There is a sunken living room and the plaid carpet wraps over the step to continue to the lower level, so it makes the step easy to miss. Nobody got hurt, but multiple people tripped and almost fell carrying things from the kitchen to the deck. It's not all bad - the house is really cozy, but our group decided we will try a different house next time.
Was a comfortable home. Only concern is there appeared to be a potential problem with carpenter ants on the deck
