Our host Janet went out of her way to make our stay nice. Beautiful, charming and immaculate cottage room, scrumptious breakfast, and the loveliest surroundings ever!
We will never forget the trip. I felt right at home and would return in a heartbest to this charming lodge. Follow her map on the lodge site, not mapquest!

We stayed in the cabin. Our window looked out on trees. It was a great place to spend the day just doing nothing. There are plenty of falls to visit in the area. Multnomah Falls are just a few miles down the road. The owner made sure our needs for a vegetarian breakfast were taken care of. We would definitely like to return again some time and stay for a longer period.

My husband and I went to the Bridal Veil Lodge B&B to celebrate our anniversary. It did not disappoint! The room was private and absolutely charming, with an enormous picture window in front of the bed that looked out into the lush forest. The room and the main house are both beautifully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. (Love the mix of antiques and more contemporary pieces!) Location is amazing, right at the front door to the Bridal Veil Falls trail and in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. (If I'm not mistaken, I think it is the ONLY place you can stay in the Gorge.) The owners are friendly and prepared an excellent breakfast for us in the morning. Conversation was lively and entertaining. Some other reviews said the address was listed incorrectly; we had no problems finding it whatsoever, though! I believe the address on the Multnomah Falls website is incorrect, but if you just contact the B&B itself, they give clear and simple directions. In response to the review that the owners were unwelcoming, I have to say that also was totally misrepresented! They were kind and accommodating and provided us with great service. We absolutely fell in love with this place, and I sincerely hope we will have the pleasure of staying again in the future.

If you want to experience the Columbia River Scenic area, this is the place. If you want a wonderful B&B experience, you may be disappointed. The area around it is beautiful (especially if you have the back cabin). The rooms are small and the bath is even smaller. However, the location can't be beat if you are going to do scenic area driving or hiking to the many falls in the area. Breakfast is good, but not great. Some of our folks liked it, some didn't and some were neutral. Average B&B, beautiful location.

First off, the owner needs to learn the address! and how to give directions! Even the website has the wrong address. It is WEST Historic Columbia River Highway in Bridal Veil (the owner said it is East and in Portland). If you try entering it in a GPS, don't enter the West or East!
After a long search for this "Lodge" we finally found it. Looks nice on the website, but walking up to it we fought off over grown rose bushes and spider webs. It's a large old house, the front porch was in desparate need of cleaning, and overall it looked like a mess.
After ringing the door bell several times we walked off and found other accommodations - too bad because this is a fine location!

Sorry you were unable to stay at our B&B. As you can see, calling ahead for a reservation is a must. Our Lodge is on a large parcel of land and we are often out doing chores. We always ask our guests for approximate arrival times. The "old house" is indeed old and rustic. It was built by my great grandfather in 1926 for a lodge and restaurant with cabins and camping spaces as well. The interior of the lodge and the rooms are clean. As to the porch, unfortunately ,in the woods, spiders make webs, leaves blow in and birds try to nest on the beams almost immediately after cleaning. Our address on the web site IS correct. We never recommend entering it into a GPS system as they are not always correct.
