Received a gift certificate for Christmas! waited until it was lighter outside. Lovely old building, was seated next to a crackling fireplace. Arrived early, right before dinner service so did not have linens on table yet. Would have been nice if they would have reset the table properly for us. We both ordered the sirloin with a side salad. Salad was not fresh, lots of wilted and slimy purple lettuce, and upon receiving the steak, was so tough we both saved half the steak for the pups.
The steak was cooked just right, just very tough. To bad. That being said, the service was very good and he was kind to take the salads off the check. We haven't been to the lodge for about 6 years because we had had a bad food experience before. Again to bad, such a lovely old place. I guess their turnover isn't enough to get quality product.

I apologize that your meal wasn't better, Coeta. Tough steaks and wilted salads are certainly not our standard, so this is very disappointing. We focus on serving local, organic ingredients, so I'm a bit surprised to hear that your steaks were tough. We normally get great feedback about our meat, so I'll be looking into this issue with the kitchen team. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

I’m confident we can knock it out of the park for you next time. When you drive out from West Linn, I would love to welcome you back in. I’ll personally see to it that your experience is much better this time around.

Best,
Mark, General Manager

We were on our way home from Bonneville Hot Springs and made a last minute decision to stop here for lunch. We were seated at a corner table with a beautiful view of the falls, which was the first thing that made us happy here. Our waiter was prompt, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the Shrimp Etouffee (which my Louisiana born husband was reluctant to order because he knows his authentic Cajun food), and it was delicious. My husband tried a bite and was thoroughly impressed as well. The Lodge is a beautiful restaurant, and everything we had from the drinks to the meal was very good.

Thank you for sharing your kind words, Libralisa! I'm so glad that you and your husband stopped in after a fun day at Bonneville Hot Springs — isn't it beautiful? To finish it off with a corner table by the falls is even better. It sounds like you really enjoyed your lunch with us, which is great. It's quite the compliment to get the stamp of approval from a Louisiana native! The next time you travel our way, we'd love to welcome you back in.

beautiful old lodge right next to the falls. Their Sunday brunch is wonderful, and the ambience can't be beat. Get a groupon and save money.

As locals we've been to Multnomah Falls many times over the years. This time was during extreme chill so falls were freezing. Quite a sight. We had Sunday brunch in the lodge. It was buffet with champagne and was roughly $23. Very reasonable considering the atmosphere and the great food they put out. I can't think of anything they missed. Eggs Benedict, salmon and other meat, soaked overnight french toast, all kinds of pastries, salads, and treats. Stuffed and satisfied.
