“Stunned that this is rated number 1”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

Met folks who live here..we were told it was the only good place in town....huge private party upstairs..so had to sit in this rather dark and dank basement....didn't see an art gallery....waitress seemed stressed and told us that...food extremely mediocre...over priced schlock. No thanks.

“Excellent find in Brookings”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

Only stayed overnight, & we found this by reviews on Trip Advisor. Reservations a must as it is a small eclectic restaurant in basement of Art Gallery, but food is superb!
Almost reminiscent of bistros in Paris, basic table & chairs, artist's work displayed on wall, slow service, crowded little room, but oh, food is amazing!
Only wish we saved room for desert!
Clam chowder was one of the best I ever had!

“A first-rate eatery”
Reviewed 28 December 2013 via mobile

My wife checked Trip Advisor for restaurants in Brookings, Oregon and found Art Alley Grille...an excellent find! It is cozy and comfortable. The service is A-one, not slow but not pushy so we could enjoy a leisurely lunch and converse. We all enjoyed different sandwiches, which were loaded with tasty goodies. Also, we shared a nice bottle of wine from their extensive wine list. Highly recommended!

“AWESOME!!!!!”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

This is absolutely a fantastic place to eat. Everything was so delicious and the portions were huge! The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waitress was wonderful. I cannot find enough positive words to adequately rate this restaurant. If you find yourself in Brookings Oregon and want a lovely meal....go here and you will not be disappointed. (The entrance to the restaurant is in the alley but your will see the sister store, with the same name, from Hwy 101 and you just have to follow the signs.)

“been back several times”
Reviewed 28 November 2013 via mobile

Funky entrance, good offerings. We have gone for lunch several times. I think the dinner menu might change. For lunch, I had the homemade chantrel (sp) soup both times, my husband had the chowder once and the mushroom soup...all of them VERY delicious. We both had sandwiches, all freshly made and tasty. We can highly recommend the art alley grille.
