Stop at every single possible pullout for this state park! Don't miss Natural Bridges and Arch Rock in particular. Beautiful and stunning views of the coast!

The South Coast of Oregon is definitely the most beautiful of all the Pacific Coast Highway. However, driving through it is just not enough. Some of the hikes around this area are a bit challenging but they are WELL worth it. Several hikes lead to secluded beaches...far from people and highways...and to jaw dropping scenery. I have attached a few pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Especially if you're driving south, you may not realize the beautiful coastline in this park because for much of it you need to park (easy to do, well marked) and take short walks in (10-30 minutes). From Hwy 101, all you see are trees for the most part. We took two days to explore the park and could have easily spent a third day. We especially like the area between China Beach and Arch Rock. Beware of early morning fog; it usually cleared between noon and 2pm which offered interesting before and after pictures. For more info, consult this handy map
