I don't think we could've found a more perfect spot for our first year anniversary. Upon turning onto Wollam, my first thought was that we were going to be stuck in someone's spare bedroom, but it was perfect. It's tucked away at the end of the street with a perfect view of the ocean and very easy beach access. Barbara took excellent care of us and has thought of everything. It was obvious that she really cares about her guests having the best experience possible. It was so easy and comfortable to be there. I can't imagine not going back for year two.

I'm reluctant to write this review--too many visitors may make it hard to book. But it is such a fine place that I must. First, the view is too die for, truly amazing and one is right on the beach. Second, the place is really, really clean. Barbara does everything perfectly including clean towels daily. That was really more than necessary, but a truly luxurious touch. We didn't have breakfast and appreciated the lesser room rate. I can't think of a thing that could have been done to make our stay better. It was my second stay but it won't be the last!

Room Tip: The corner suite has a view up the river and down the coast.

I should have written this review a long time ago. We stayed back in December, about 5 months ago, and it was the best place we ever could have found. You're at the mouth of the river, and at the edge of the ocean. Who could ask for more?? Beautiful panoramic views, perfect location, end of a quiet road, nothing but the sounds of nature to serenade you. We were treated to watching a lone harbor seal every morning at high tide fishing in the mouth of the river. What a sight! Seagulls sang us to sleep. Song birds chattered away. The wind whistled through the trees and the subtle roar of the waves crashing on the shore and carrying driftwood aloft was something I will never forget.

This was a special trip for my husband and I, as it was a belated honeymoon of sorts. He is a teacher, so we had to wait until he had time off.

We were less than a quarter mile away from some of the best tidal pools, where we donned our waders and saw starfish, crabs and more. Not to mention, we watched an incredible, amazing sunset over the ocean, that blazed gold with silhouettes of the sea stacks in the distance. Roaring, crashing waves. We were so mesmerized, we had to run for shore as the tide came in more quickly than we had been aware of. :)

On the walk back, a group of twenty or more people were holding a bonfire. As we walked by, we smiled at how relaxed they were, how much fun they were having in the fading light. To our surprise, one of them called over to us and invited us to the bonfire. Only in Oregon would total strangers be welcome to join a bonfire with neighbors you've never met. It reminds you of how things used to be... and it is good to know that there still are places like this in the world.

The area was a feast for the eyes, with the stunning sea stacks that lined the coast line, making a dramatic panorama. The Redwoods were at your feet, to your back. Wild, rushing rivers full of salmon and trout, steps away. An ocean that took all the cares and worries of your life and churned and drowned them away... right in front of you.

The suite was perfect.. Clean, crisp, modern decor and with everything you could want. Conveniently located, close to everything, with a hostess that was more than accommodating, but never in the way. It made the place feel a great combo of feeling as if you had certain amenities of staying in a hotel.. (the beds were made, the house cleaned, dishes washed every day (YEAH), pantries stocked, lots of little extras provided, etc.)... and yet it was so private it was like you were the only one there.

I cannot say enough good things about this place or our hostess, Barbara. In fact, she had a lot of patience with all our questions (Checking out the community, restaurants, advice on where to go, what to do, etc.) and the fact that we kept her that last day much longer than we should have, considering she was expecting a guest within a few hours.

If we come back to the area, we will definitely choose this place again. It was the best choice we ever made and now that we know of it, it will be our ONLY choice. Thanks again for everything!

The room was extremely clean. The view was AMAZING and the room smelled fine. No animal smells at all!!
Barbara was very helpful and cool. Her scones are YUMMY and she makes them herself!
The furniture was just fine for anyones needs. Not top of the line and modern but functional and clean. THE BED WAS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED EVER!! There is everything you need for comfort and more. The bathroom tub and shower are the great too.
My mom and I stayed here this weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. We decided that we will come back this summer and stay here and we are recommending it to everyone.
I saw an otter!

I LOVE this B&B. It's the perfect place to get away and relax. The view is spectacular and you are literally right on the beach! I've stayed here a few times and I can't wait to go back again. It's a home away from home with comfortable, clean and lovely accommodations. You will NOT be disappointed!

While this is titled as a B*B, it is not your typical one. Only 2 units that are like efficiency apartments. Bed, Bath & livingroom/kitchenette with microwave, coffee, tea, plates & utensils available.
Barbara, the owner, is a wonder lady, who walks you through everything upon arrival.
Access to beach is a quick flight of stairs, a gravel path & then a driftwood makeshift stairs (actual building of stairs on public beach is prohibitied so the owners use the driftwood to finish the last few steps). Not accessible for those that are not steady on their feet or who require assistance with stairs so be warned!
Views from deck are AMAZING! Situated right on cliff with views of the ocen & the river outlet, would be perfect for those that want to rent or bring kayaks. Beach is wonderfully sandy.
Bed is comfortable, bathroom has deep tub. Appliances all servicable.
Barbara provides an in room breakfast if you choose (croissants, scones, fresh organic fruit, cream/milk, OJ and water.

All in all, this would be a wonderful place to come for a few days of solitude on the beach or as a get away. If you are looking for high end luxury or typical B&B with hot breakfast, this is not the place. But if you enjoy a simple continental breakfast at your leisure and don't want to have to sit at a communal table and make small talk, then this is perfect.

Large decks to take advantage of sunset, sunrise. Large sliders to get ocean breezes or listen to the waves crashing to the shore. There is a fireplace in bedroom, but its for ambience only (no heat, electric flames only.

Nice little find for our quick overnight trip down the coast.

Room Tip: Ask for the Blue room, you have windows on three views (bedroom, sideview (river) & living area...
