We were visiting Brookings to surprise family. We had no reservations but rolled up to this place and they had availability. Cheryl, at the front desk, let us check out a room before we committed. It was clean and huge. We stayed. The hotel recently was bought out of foreclosure. So we didn't expect anything great.
There were only 2 pillows on the king bed. We stayed 2 nights and no one emptied our garbage. We got clean towels, so I don't care about the garbage. The location of our room was unfortunate. Right next to the stairs. Cheryl was super helpful when we checked in. She was the deciding factor that prompted us to stay.
We've stayed in nicer places, but for the price this was totally fine.

I had stayed here before years ago and couldn't remember anything wrong with the hotel so we booked again. It was cheap at $75 compared to all other hotels around here. A bit out dated, but room was large and bed was comfy enough. Front desk staff was nice when we couldn't find the remote, and the room was really clean. Only problem was the shower head has a leak and was spraying upwards a bit, probably an easy fix, but I don't like to complain. Overall good experience!

The walls in the rooms were so thin, you could hear the people in the next room. Their resturant was closed twice by the Board of Health. It went up for auction, no one bid anything on it. Wouldn't want it. The property is worth something for a business, but not the motel or restuarant.

Room Tip: Go to the Beachfront Inn in Harbor. Good rooms, great view, right on the beach. May want to find ano...

Found this place online with out looking at trip advisor first..(Not a good idea sometimes) The pictures I saw made it look good. I was a little disappointed in the very dated room. The web page for Magnuson Hotels made me think the rooms were more modern. The light came through the curtain so I clipped it shut but our room was very quiet. There is an indoor pool, I didn't go in but I could see it from our room. ( forgot swim suit) It looked nice. There is no air conditioning in these rooms. In Oregon you really don't need it, so it wasn't too bad. Hotel is in a good area, everything in town is with in walking distance. I would go back

Room Tip: Rooms by the pool were quiet, on the upper level.

Feels like a rip off. We paid $100 for a 2 queen room. Curtains don't stay closed with out the table pressed against them. Room smells little off. Breakfast was good. We were going to swim but our room was to far away from the pool and we did not want to have our little girls freeze as they walked back to the room. We have stayed in better rooms for less money. With that been said we couldn't find a better room for less $ in Brooking. Not sure how this town can get away with charging so much for a room. We will drive past Brooking Inn and Brooking, OR next time.

On main Hywy but quiet enough. King bed rooms are worn and need redo. A little dust along the walls from poor vacuuming. Price was too high for the quality we received. Refrig was too noisy and there was no A/C...clerk brought down two small 8 inch fans to circulate air. Too hot all night. Had great brkfst next door with motel coupon. Food well done and OK to start another day of travel.

Professional management, friendly and efficient. Late, last minute arrival and subsequent reservation. Did not have time for activities or room service. During our long road trip, this was a pleasant surprise. Everything was great. The complimentary breakfast next door exceeded expectations, basic bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast were prepared perfectly and quickly. This was a good stop. Knowledgeable locals will tell you to not choose hotels on the other side of the street as the hotels are much older and lack quality.
