Four of us stayed 2 nights at this lovely old home. The amenities were perfect; the grounds beautifully landscaped; breakfasts excellent; we enjoyed drinking champagne on the front porch one evening; hanging out in the gazebo in the afternoon; and a good location to bird watch around the area. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms lovely

When you are in Burns for the night which would you rather enjoy, a hot cider by a cozy fire, a comfy bed in a beautifully appointed room, and a delicious breakfast served piping hot by funny interesting inn keeper or sitting in a sterile motel room, sleeping on a lumpy bed and a not so stellar restaurant breakfast....no brainer right? So make your reservation and treat yourself to a night at the Sage Country Inn, you won't be sorry. Thanks Mike for the great stay. We will be back and "more pumpkin muffins please" even if you did serve them to us already!

Room Tip: We had the king bed room and it was really lovely.

A wonderful B&B after staying in hotels for 2 weeks, A warm welcome, comfortable room and good ensuite. Details like a fridge on the landing, lounge with books, sweets on the bedside table, homely décor made it very enjoyable. The breakfasts were the best of my trip, freshly cooked, great to eat and completely different to standard hotel food, well done the chef !.
The house is in the centre of town but set back from the street and feels like its in the suburbs or country, it even has some wildlife to watch in the evening or at breakfast. Plenty of restaurants nearby, the B&B owners give good recommendations on eating out. If travelling in this area its well worth planning your trip around a stay here.

Room Tip: no particular room to recommend but you should book in advance

My family and I stayed at Sage Country Inn last week during Cycle Oregon, as we were hosting star parties for the CO participants. Mike and Corrine at Sage Country Inn took wonderful care of us! Their breakfasts were outstanding, the rooms very comfortable, and the grounds beautiful. We especially appreciated that we could return to the B&B late at night after the star party with no trouble.

Awesome place - like an oasis in downtown Burns. The laidback owners, beautifully appointed rooms, extremely comfortable beds, fairway manicured grounds, and awesome breakfast all contribute to one great place to stay. Although we're not Burns regulars, if we ever visit Burns again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Mike & Corrine will make you feel comfortable, and relaxed, from the moment you arrive. It's their home as well, but you actually realize that it's not just a business for them - they actually like people to stay.
Do yourself a favor and stay at the Sage Country Inn the next time you're traveling through Burns - you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We liked Kathreen's room, since it doesn't get the morning or afternoon sun that the other r...

We were traveling through Burns on our way from Idaho and spent a night at the Sage Country Inn. The house is very nice and the owners have really put their hearts into it. The rooms and breakfast are great and they also recommended a spot for dinner in town.

Just one night at the Sage Country Inn, but that's enough to know that Mike and Corinne have a real gem. If you EVER spend a night in Burns, spend it here. The decadent breakfast alone is worth it. It's all top drawer. Oh, yeah. Buy some soap and lotion, too.
