Cozy large rooms, clean and comfy with gas fireplaces (perfect for rainy weather!). South of the downtown area by about 8 min drive (but most accommodation is), but just across the street from the beach.
Great service, great breakfast (served in a breakfast room but trays are available to take breakfast back to your own room.

Excellent hotel that does not have a starchy hotel atmosphere. Very nice staff, all of whom were welcoming and helpful. Our dog also was made to feel welcome. The "dog" rooms are just excellent with no difference to the other rooms. Very adequate continental breakfast. Just two minutes to the beach.
A hotel we will return to in future.

Room Tip: A few of the rooms at the back are close to highway 101. They may be noisy in the summer. Our room w...

Two nights here bracketing one day in Cannon Beach. Our first visit in the area. Solid place to stay, reasonable continental breakfast included, an easy mile or two to central CB, and a couple of miles past that to Ecola State Park and beach. No beach access but ocean roar made it close. Very little noticeable traffic noise from relatively nearby Oregon 101 highway.

I struggled with how to rate this hotel. We enjoyed our stay in Cannon Beach, and the hotel has some very good points. It's very close to the beach, but out of the main hustle and bustle of the town. The desk has free coffee, movies that can be checked out, staff who really know the town and are eager to please. The grounds are lovely, the rooms are clean, the bed was fine and our bathroom was *enormous* and had nice bath amenities.

We are a family of 3, and we decided to go with a king suite that had a sofabed. Unfortunately, the sofabed was awful--saggy, didn't sit evenly on the floor, etc. My daughter ended up just sleeping on the sofa, which was pretty awful even to sit on (much too soft). The free breakfast was...unfortunate. Not much that was even close to healthy except the fresh fruit. But wait--the fresh fruit had been *frozen* and was half-thawed and mushy. We gave up and ate elsewhere.

I probably would have given this place one more star if I had felt it was a better value, but it was very expensive. For that kind of nightly rate, we should at least be able to get something we can eat in the morning.

We are most appreciative of the time and effort this guest has taken in order to provide us valuable feedback. As with any review, we are reflecting on their observations and digging into them for answers. We will take remedial action to resolve any issue we may discover. The General Manager and the owners are meeting today to review the specifics of this letter including a review of the breakfast bar to see where we can make improvements. We have enormous pride in our property and when we learn, as we have here, that we have let one of our patrons down, it causes us to redouble our efforts. We dedicate ourselves to the comfort and satisfaction of each and every guest, each and every day. It is our utmost concern.

The Inn was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location is very good. A very short drive to town, and right across the street from the beach. The homey touches like free DVD rentals, cookies, and hot chocolate were nice. The grounds are very pretty.

We only stayed one night, but didn't sleep well. The rooms are close to the parking lot so you heard the beeps of key fobs opening doors, the honking of locking car doors and closing car doors of late arriving guests. The rooms are not air conditioned so the window needs to stay open for air, especially on the second floor where we were. A fan on a stand is provided but if you need to be cool and quiet to sleep, you may want to consider this. Also, if you have a lot of luggage or any physical limitations, be sure to request a ground floor room as the second floor rooms are only reached by a long steep staircase.

Room Tip: Choose room on the ground floor if you have a lot of luggage or any physical limitations.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Cannon Beach, my info said they were pet friendly. They had one room left, boy did we luck out! They had a basket for our dog with a bowl, frisbee, treats, a towel & extra sheets. The staff had cookies & salt water taffy for us. The beds were clean & comfortable. The price included breakfast--the fruit was fresh & yummy with many other choices too. All of the stay were friendly. The courtyard was a nice treat to sit & relax (& watch the rabbit). A short walk to the beach to see Haystack. This place is our new favorite, when we find ourselves in Cannon Beach again!!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
This beautifully wooded property at the quiet south end of Cannon Beach takes full advantage of the beauty of its' natural setting. The architecture and scale of the inn is very residential and cottage-like. Some guests have equated the feel of The Inn at Cannon Beach to a very high end summer camp for adults and families. The warm natural wood exteriors provide a rustic backdrop for the breathtaking native plants, perennials and long blooming annuals that color the property throughout much of the year. Fragrant garden paths with towering spruce trees meander between the various cabin-like buildings creating a sense of escape. The Inn’s central courtyard serves as a social gathering place for guests to come together in a beautiful woodland setting. Many find a sunlit bench the perfect spot to begin a new novel or to enjoy the wind in the trees. Our naturalized pond and it’s flowering borders is a center piece of the courtyard and attracts small wildlife and birds of many sorts. Voluptuous hanging flower baskets fill the walkways with fragrance and the occasional beat of hummingbird wings.Guest rooms are warm and inviting with all the comforts of home. The rooms are cozy and enjoyable on a stormy winter day with the fireplace ablaze and a good book. And when the sun is out, guests throw open the windows to enjoy the birdsong and salt sea air, taking their book outdoors. ... more   less
