We went to Cannon Beach for a four day trip to celebrate our birthdays. This was our first time at Schooner's Cove and we will be back. The staff is lovely, the location is perfect. Everything is within a short walking distance. Our room was on the upper floor which I like and was very nice. The bed (which was very comfortable) was separated from the living room/kitchen area by a wall which works for us since I like to go to bed early and my husband likes to stay up late and watch movies (they have HBO). The fireplace made the room very cozy after the sun went down, too. The first thing I did every morning was pour my coffee and watch the waves. Relaxing and beautiful.
The only annoying thing was trying to get the Wi-Fi to connect during the day. It worked fine late at night or early morning. But everything else was great.

Room Tip: All rooms are great because they all have an ocean view.

We loved our stay here minus the stinky sheets! We did use the extra blanket and we had a feeling they weren't washing things the way they should. Besides the smelly bed sheets/blanket, we enjoyed our stay very much. Housekeeping walked into our room without knocking...which was a bit disturbing, but the views and the location were top notch and we were very pleased with the value for what we paid.

Couldn't be more comfortable. Lots of room, comfy beds, dishes, silverware, glasses provided - nice to get chowder, sandwiches, have a glass of wine watching the sun set over the water.
The coffee provided is very good; I drink decaf and even the decaf is excellent. Just a block from stores, cafes, galleries, the great Cannon Beach Bakery.

Very quaint small independent hotel typical of those in Cannon Beach. Loved the oceanfront room, could leave the sliding glass door to the balcony open a crack at night and hear the pounding surf. Very comfortable bed, great shower, very clean - staff care about their hotel and it shows. Would stay here everytime when out in Cannon Beach.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms quietest but no elevators so keep that in mind

I appreciated almost everything about this hotel! We had a ground floor room, only 2 steps from the beach. I loved it's location relative to the town - just one block off the main street means it's close to everything and yet not noisy at all. Beautiful! The room was spacious and clean and as my friend pointed out, nothing squeaked...you know those little annoyances that sometimes come with hotel rooms? Yeah, they don't happen here!

We had a room with a bedroom and living area, mini-kitchen stocked with silverware, plates, glasses and such. The gas fireplace was a bit tricky to figure out but we got that done. The shower, on the other hand, was a puzzle that actually required us to call the front desk to figure out! (That's just one of those things you laugh at later!)

At first I thought it was odd that you had to "reserve" the hottub, but then realized it meant that you were the only people in it for "your" 30 min time period. As we went in a bit of off-season, it worked great for us -- I'm not sure the same would be true when the hotel was full. That said, we liked it!

Fantastic experience at an oceanside hotel. Hotel is on-the-beach with either walk-out room or second floor. Stayed in both and equally supreme. The rooms had mini-kitchens equipted with pots, pans, silverware. The location is downtown and close by resturants and stores. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall outstanding stay. Winter special had it very affordable for 4 star resort.

Schooner's Cove Inn is situated in an excellent location, right on the beach and very close to the shops and restaurants. Our room was a reasonable size and had a lovely view, which we would have enjoyed more had the weather been better. This was, however, the most expensive stay of our roadtrip.
