Very pretty in the morning mist with the tide pools with a lot of creatures. Very good for viewing and educational presentations.

It's a pretty rock not far off the coastline, but there's nothing spectacular. If you're looking for puffins, good luck; we've been 15 times during "season" over the last 12 years and have yet to see one! Lots of seagulls, but otherwise just another large rock in the ocean.

That is all.
Well, it is were I proposed to my wife.
Besides that, it is a rock. A rock that you look at. It doesn't move. Not sure what else you would like me to say.

Haystack rock is massive from far away and if you walk towards it then it becomes just all encompassing. It is situated on a great beach where both 4 legged and 2 legged friends can both enjoy the beach. Sand space is also pretty huge so if you want to pick a spot to sit and enjoy the beach it's a great place. Birds of various types like to sit on the rock so bring your binoculars to watch! One thing a lot of people dont know is that cannon beach is one of the only places in oregon where you can have an open alcohol container anywhere. Just like vegas. You can walk around with your favorite adult beverage anywhere in this town. Lots of state parks nearby as well for both driving fun and walking pleasure. Most shops are one of a kind so check out the town as well!

Haystack Rock is a unique natural wonder! The jewel of the Oregon Coast! During low tide you can walk right up to the rocks and see all kinds of unique sea life and birds. Don't miss this treasure.
